Today is International Day of Charity and we are excited to be heading into the 2026 event in just TEN DAYS!

What is Give4Marion? Give4Marion is two days of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration.

We have seen firsthand the amazing things that can happen when our community comes together to give back. Last year, ColdSpring Mares raised roughly $28k through Give4Marion and we are thankful to return to this event for another year!

Yesterday, we said goodbye to our beautiful Salty.

Salty raised six orphan foals for our program and as you can see from the video, she truly loved being a mother. She was everything a nurse mare should be. After retiring, Salty spent her final years at Glencrest Farm in Kentucky, where she enjoyed the bluegrass and babysitting weanlings.

Loving these mares also means putting their comfort, dignity and quality of life first, even when the decision is incredibly difficult.

Goodbye, sweet girl. You did your job beautifully. Now you can rest. 🤍
