Genealogy by Michele Research and genealogy for 30 years. Research and some detective work are often what you do when you are a genealogist.

You dig through old yellowed birth and death certificates, you look for tombstones and dig through as many photos as you can. For me it is not so much work as it is a hobby. I love digging for the truth and putting the pieces together which help make sense of the past. I have done research at the National Archives and the Library of Congress in Washington, DC as well as the State Library in Hartford, CT, in addition to several other family history libraries.
