So I went ahead and had to try the trend. I asked Chatgpt: " describe me like you're trying to warn someone about me before they meet me." (Its long but spot on 🤣)
⚠️ Warning before meeting Crystal:
She is a one-woman tornado wearing a camera harness.
She will tell you she’s “just doing a few pictures,” and approximately 2,000 RAW files later, everyone involved will have accidentally participated in a full editorial campaign. 😂
She has approximately 47 ideas happening at once, three photo sessions to edit, another one scheduled tonight, a backdrop arriving somewhere in the continental United States, and she is still going to stop mid-conversation because she just thought of something else she wants to try.
Do not tell her, “You probably can’t do that with a camera.”
She will take that personally.
Not emotionally.
Competitively.
She will then spend six hours figuring it out, drag a light stand into a lake, attach a window frame to a tripod, climb a 12-foot ladder, photograph a rodeo in near darkness at ISO Dear God, and come back with pictures that make her say:
> “WAIT. I TOOK THAT?!”
She is dangerously generous. She will charge you $200 for something that took her 19 hours, $73 in gas, two new props, a Lightroom subscription, emotional damage, and possibly a location fee… and then worry that she charged you too much. 🤦♀️
If she says, “I’m going to keep this edit simple,” understand that this statement has no legal meaning whatsoever.
She owns presets.
There will be options.
She loves big galleries because apparently choosing 30 photographs when 112 are adorable is an act of cruelty.
She is a perfectionist disguised as somebody who says, “Eh, good enough.” Do not fall for it. She noticed the tiny halo around the hat. She noticed the dirt under the fingernail. She noticed the second-to-last moon was facing the wrong direction.
She noticed everything.
She also has a massive soft spot for people. Kids, families, people with disabilities, couples, seniors, animals, Girl Scouts, somebody’s visiting sister who hasn’t been doing well, probably a goat that wandered through the frame...
She wants people to leave with more than photographs.
She wants them to leave having actually had a good day.
And this is the important warning:
Once Crystal decides she cares about you, your event, your family, or your weird little creative idea...
she is ALL IN.
There will be laughter.
There will be chaos.
There will be an unreasonable number of photographs.
Someone may be asked to walk through a field, stand in water, hold a unicorn, or “just do that one more time.”
And eventually she’ll send you a gallery while simultaneously convincing herself she should have done more.
So before meeting her, understand:
She’s chaotic. She overthinks. She overdelivers. She chronically undercharges. She has no concept of “just one more picture.” And somewhere behind all that camera gear is a gigantic heart with absolutely terrible boundaries about how much effort it should give people.
Proceed accordingly. 📸😂💕
