🌧️ SO. MUCH. RAIN. 😆

Our newest Miles Across USA video is live!

This time we’re exploring Olympic National Park, where we hiked through the incredible Hoh Rain Forest, learned some fascinating things about how these ancient forests grow, made our way to beautiful Sol Duc Falls, and visited Lake Crescent.

And yes… it rained. And rained. And rained. 😂

But we learned something on this trip that became a bit of a motto for us:

“There’s no such thing as bad weather… just the wrong clothes.”

With raincoats on, we had a wonderful time—and honestly, the rain and mist made the rain forest even more beautiful.

Come along with us as we continue our journey north toward Alaska! 🚐🏔️

Let us know in the comments: Would you rather see Olympic National Park on a beautiful sunny day—or experience the rain forest in the rain like we did? 🌧️🌲

Our trip to Alaska continues. This video of the Oregon Coast Highway 101 RV road trip takes us north along one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline we’ve seen, with dramatic ocean views, crashing waves, small coastal towns, and a few unexpected surprises along the way.

We start by leaving the Crater Lake area and heading back toward the Oregon Coast, spending a quick night at Thousand Trails South Jetty before continuing north on scenic Highway 101.

Along the way we stop to take in the incredible Oregon coastline, visit Thor’s Well, and spend the night at Thousand Trails Pacific City, where a short walk from the campground rewards us with a beautiful Pacific Ocean sunset.

The next day we’re finally doing something we skipped on our previous trip through Oregon — visiting the Tillamook Creamery! We explore the Creamery, pick up some Tillamook cheese, and, of course, sample the ice cream with a three-flavor ice cream flight.

Continuing north, we visit Seaside, Oregon, including the End of the Trail for the Lewis and Clark Expedition and a stop at Mo’s for something to eat.

Eventually we leave Oregon behind, cross the Columbia River into Washington, and head toward Ocean City. While exploring the Ocean Shores area, we stumble across the 2026 Ocean Shores Kite Festival — something we hadn’t planned on seeing at all.

Sometimes those unexpected discoveries turn out to be some of the best parts of a road trip.

From Highway 101 and Tillamook to Pacific sunsets, Seaside and hundreds of colorful kites, this leg of our RV journey to Alaska gave us another great look at just how spectacular the Pacific Northwest can be.

Thanks for traveling along with us!

Well… Banff did NOT disappoint! 🏔️🇨🇦

We came for the mountains and turquoise lakes, but the sheer beauty of this place is hard to put into words. Every road, every lake, and every viewpoint seemed more beautiful than the last.

Definitely one of those trips where you take a hundred pictures and still feel like they don’t capture what you actually saw. ❤️

The Canadian Rockies are absolutely incredible! 🇨🇦

In this episode, we travel to Redwood National Park & Crater Lake National Park.

We travel from Russian River Thousand Trails in Cloverdale, California, to Elk Country RV Resort near Redwood National and State Parks, before continuing north into Oregon to revisit the breathtaking beauty of Crater Lake National Park.

Our journey takes us through towering redwood forests, along scenic stretches of the Pacific Coast, and into one of America’s most spectacular national parks. Along the way we experience our first view of the Pacific Ocean on this trip, spot a herd of elk right in the campground, survive a long Highway 101 travel day, and pay the highest price we’ve ever paid for diesel fuel in our RV.

At Crater Lake, we’re finally rewarded with the crystal-clear views we missed during our first visit when wildfire smoke covered the lake. We also take time to explore the fascinating Natural Bridge, hike to beautiful Mill Creek Falls, and enjoy the peaceful beauty of southern Oregon before continuing our Alaska journey.

If you enjoy RV travel, National Parks, scenic drives, and discovering beautiful places across North America, we’d love to have you along for the ride.
