The most beautiful golden sunset I've seen in a long time!

I don't get to enjoy sunsets very often these days. I'm basically a grandma and happily in bed by 7:00 PM whenever I can be. With a baby still waking several times each night, my husband and I split the overnight feeds, so sleep is a little broken for both of us.

That made this evening feel extra special. Slowing down for a few minutes to soak in the warm light, the quiet, and a sunset this beautiful felt like such a gift. These little moments are so easy to miss, and they remind me how important it is to pause and appreciate them.

One question I occasionally get from new clients is whether I use those fabric photo backdrops. The answer is no! My holiday sessions take place in real studio spaces featuring decorated trees, furniture, props, and interactive sets that feel warm, natural, and inviting.

While there are photographers who create absolutely beautiful work with faux backdrop setups, I've always been drawn to environments that feel a little more like home and a little less like a photo booth. My goal is to create images that feel genuine, cozy, and full of real moments.
