Hi!, I am Manuel Palacios dad, scientist and outdoor photographer living in upstate NY. I spend most of my time wandering around in the Adirondacks; day and night. Quite often you will find me "somewhere" enjoying the outdoors and trying to interpret a landscape with my camera, certainly lost, but on the trail. Landscapes compel us to interpret them and to feel them without any previous knowledge
or background. Quite often, like gravity, landscapes have a tendency to ground us and to show us our little place in the Universe. This profound connection to landscapes is what brings us together in contemplation. In the words of Barry Lopez, "Landscape is the culture that contains all human culture.”
Hola, soy Manuel Palacios, padre, científico y fotógrafo de aventura y paisaje. Vivo al norte del estado de Nueva York y paso la mayoría del tiempo en el Parque Adirondacks. A menudo me podrás conseguir por ahí deambulando de noche o de día con mi camera tratando de interpretar paisajes. Para mí, un paisaje es un espacio vivo que nos atrae y convoca. Los paisajes tienen esa característica de llamarnos a la interpretación y a sentirlos sin necesidad de ningún conocimiento previo. Es por esto, que como la gravedad, los paisajes tienen la tendencia a mostrarnos nuestro pequeño lugar en el Universo. Y es esta profunda conexión con el paisaje lo nos une en contemplación.
