When the sky lights up tomorrow night, I hope we can all take a deep breath and remember what truly matters...
Even with all the division in this country, I still love it here. I still love those who live here, no matter their religion, skin color, or background.
On holidays like this, we are all under the exact same sky…looking up for fireworks. It reminds me how extremely lucky we are to hold our loved ones tight, to stand safely amongst strangers, and to enjoy beautiful bursts of fireworks in the sky instead of bombs. 🥹
I pray each of you has a wonderful July 4th with your friends and families.
May your firework shows be big and bright, or your sparklers last just a little bit longer for those slow, quiet nights with the little ones. May your hot dogs be hot, your sweet tea be ice cold, and I hope your watermelon is sweet and juicy (if you didn’t buy from Long’s Farm in Bainbridge, I’m sorry 🫣🤣).
May your hearts be completely full of love and gratitude!!
And of course, an endless thank you to the men and women, and their families, who made this all possible with their incredible sacrifices. Happy Independence Day, everyone. ❤️🤍💙
