💛 A little Prairie Warbler from today's birding outing!

These little yellow warblers are such fun to photograph, and I was happy to add this one to today's collection! I love getting out and seeing which birds we can find, especially during migration season. You never know what might show up! 🐦📸

💙 Back to Birding! 🤍

After four weeks of recovering from a broken ankle, I finally made it back out for birding! 🐦 We kept it to short walks, but getting back out in nature with my camera felt wonderful.

And what a welcome back! I got to spend some time photographing one of my absolute favorite migrating warblers, the Black-throated Blue Warbler. 💙 With that gorgeous blue plumage, contrasting black throat, and crisp white belly, this little beauty never disappoints!

I still have some healing to do, but it felt so good to be back doing something I love. Sometimes, it's the little outings that mean the most. ❤️📷

Absolutely amazing jellyfish effect from this mornings SpaceX Falcon 9 launch, sending supplies to the International Space Station.

The light near the bottom is the actual rocket. The light near the top of the image is the booster returning to earth. We get a sonic boom when it suddenly slows down for landing, and it makes me jump every single time.

The jellyfish effect only happens when a launch occurs right before sunrise or right after sunset. It is dark on the ground, but when the rocket gets enough altitude for the sun to illuminate it the result is WOW.

Purple Gallinule at the Wetlands on 9/27/2026...right before I broke my ankle! 🩹

We first saw these beautifully colored marsh birds when we moved to Florida, and I am always delighted to see their bright plumage.
