25 years later, we remember.

On September 11, 2001, America experienced a tragedy that changed our country forever. Today, we honor the 2,977 lives lost, the families forever changed, and the courage of the first responders and everyday Americans who stepped forward in the face of unimaginable loss.

Among those we lost were 343 FDNY members, 23 NYPD officers, 37 Port Authority Police officers, and 441 first responders from more than 30 agencies in total. We honor every single one of them.

We also remember how America came together.

In the days that followed, it wasn’t about politics, differences, or division. There was no left or right. Americans stood together. Strangers helped strangers. Communities grieved together, prayed together, and supported one another.

For a moment, we were reminded how strong this country can be when we stand as one.

25 years later, may we never forget the lives lost, the heroes who answered the call, the families who carried the pain forward, and the unity that helped America through one of its darkest days.

🇺🇸 We Remember. We Honor. We Never Forget.

🐻 GRIZZ APPROVED. 🎃☕

Mornings are getting colder, the fog is rolling in, and fall is in the North Idaho air. Naturally, Grizz made a coffee stop. 🍂

His pick? CupCaker Baker Coffee Co.’s Pumpkin Spice Cold Brew—canned up and ready to roll. Because even a bear needs a little fuel before getting down to business. 🐾

Swing by, grab your fall drink, and show this local crew some love. Grizz might share a parking spot… but he’s not sharing his coffee. 😂

🐾 Great ads start with strategy. There’s more to it than choosing a ZIP code.

An effective Facebook or Instagram campaign takes more than selecting your town and hitting “publish.” Here’s what matters:

🎯 THE GOAL
Awareness, website visits, messages, or leads? Campaign settings help guide what the platform looks for. Choose a goal that matches what your business needs.

👥 THE AUDIENCE
Who needs your service, and what problem are they trying to solve? Location is one piece. Depending on the campaign, you can also use interests, customer lists, and previous interactions. Narrower isn’t always better.

📸 THE CREATIVE
Your photo or video needs to catch attention AND explain what you do. Real work, demonstrations, and customer stories give people something meaningful to see.

💬 THE MESSAGE & OFFER
Speak to a specific need. Explain how you help, why someone should choose you, and what to do next. A compelling offer doesn’t have to mean a discount.

🤝 THE TRUST
Real reviews, relevant experience, and examples of your work help people feel comfortable reaching out.

📱 THE NEXT STEP
Does the ad lead to the service it promised? Is your website easy to use on a phone? Is requesting an estimate simple—and will someone answer?

🔁 THE FOLLOW-UP
Some customers need time. Retargeting, when available and properly set up, can help reconnect with people who’ve interacted with your business. Prompt responses to inquiries matter, too.

🧪 THE TESTING
Try different visuals and messages. Give your budget room to produce useful information instead of spreading it across too many ads.

📊 THE RESULTS
Track qualified inquiries, estimates, booked work, and customer acquisition costs. Likes alone won’t tell you whether an ad is helping your business.

Targeting creates opportunities. The message, customer experience, and follow-through help turn them into business.

I’ve had the opportunity to work all over the country and alongside people from all over the world.

I worked 90-hour weeks on the rigs for many years, worked next to people from all walks of life, and I know what a hard day’s work consists of, dirty, tired, sore, and still showing up again the next day.

And I still know it today.

Those experiences have given me a huge amount of respect for the people who get up every day and do what needs to be done.

The First Responders. The tradesmen. The welders. The electricians. The mechanics. The HVAC techs. The operators. The drivers. The farmers. The construction crews. The service workers. The small-business owners. And everyone else doing their part.

Every job is different, but every one of them matters.

That’s a big part of why Baer Paw Marketing means so much to me. I get to work with hardworking local businesses and help the people behind them be seen for what they do.

Labor Day is about recognizing the people who put in the work, provide for their families, build our communities, and keep this country moving.

I have nothing but gratitude for the trades and for everyone out there doing their part every day.

Happy Labor Day from Baer Paw Marketing. 🇺🇸🐻

I get asked this a lot:

“Did you mean to spell Baer that way?”

Yes. I did.

Growing up in Montana, bears were always part of being in the mountains.

Whether we were dirt biking, exploring, camping, or just spending time in the backyard, you always seem to run into a bear.

I remember coming across bear tracks in the mud or snow and instantly being on the lookout.

You knew something powerful had been there.

And if you got close enough, a bear would make its presence known.

That always stuck with me.

Bears are strong. Independent. Fierce. They stand out, they command attention, and they leave a mark behind.

That’s a big part of what Baer Paw represents to me.

But there’s also family history behind the spelling.

My family comes from the Germans from Russia community. My great-grandfather Gabriel came to America around 1911.

In German, Bär means bear. When the umlaut isn’t used, it can be written Baer.

So the name brings it all together for me.

The outdoors I grew up around.
The bears I learned to respect.
My family history.

Whether my ancestors came from Norway, England, Germany, or Russia, they were all part of generations of people who came to America in pursuit of opportunity and a better life.

The American Dream.

And in a way, that’s still what so many of us are chasing today.

Every small business owner who takes the risk, puts in the long hours, builds something from nothing, and tries to create a better future for their family is pursuing their own version of that same dream.

That’s what I want Baer Paw Marketing to stand for with the businesses I work with.

Stand out. Be seen. Leave your mark.

Clocked out? Maybe. Business-owner brain? Still going. 😂

Here’s to the North Idaho business owners answering one last message, finishing a Saturday job, or thinking up their next big move over coffee.

I hope you get a little time this weekend to enjoy what you work so hard for.

And while you’re out—grab something local, leave that review you’ve been meaning to write, or recommend a business you love. Give somebody else’s hard work a little spotlight. 🐾

🐻 Grizz’s Tip of the Week

People buy from businesses they remember.

And not just the ones they see over and over, the ones they remember in a positive way.

There’s real psychology behind that. Repeated exposure helps build familiarity, but the way people feel when they see your business matters too. That’s why marketing shouldn’t just be constant… it should be consistent, positive, and memorable.

Fun content, helpful posts, strong branding, good customer experiences, and showing up regularly all help keep your business top of mind.

So when someone finally needs your product or service, they don’t just recognize your name — they remember it for the right reasons.

Stay visible. Stay consistent. Stay remembered. 🐾

I just wanted to share this local business because I’m a customer of theirs myself and have the monthly unlimited wash — and I’ve been seriously impressed!

If you haven’t been to Dirty Birdy Car Wash yet, you need to give them a try. Your vehicle will appreciate it! 😂🚙✨ The staff is always great, and my vehicle comes out looking brand new every time.

One of my favorite parts is their vacuum area — it’s awesome and makes it easy to get the inside looking just as good as the outside. And the free air freshener is always a nice little bonus!

They’re also coming up on their 1-year anniversary, which is awesome to see for another local North Idaho business. 🎉 It looks like they have several fun things planned to celebrate, including some freebies and local businesses joining in.

I always love seeing local businesses doing well, especially when they’re providing a great experience. Congrats to Dirty Birdy on one year in business! 👏🐦🇺🇸

If you haven’t checked them out yet, go show them some local love — and get that vehicle cleaned up while you’re at it! 🧼🚗💦
