An Ever Developing Lens on Life
I actually started my photography journey with the camera I had in hand... you guessed it... my mobile phone! Because the best camera is the one that you have with you :)
It started as a way to capture the beauty of the world around me; the way I saw life- all the good I saw in life. The gorgeous sunrises, pollinators, my horses and dogs... it was life through an ever developing lens. I wanted to capture the moments that, not only inspired me, but hopefully made someone else’s day a little brighter as well.
As life often does, it changed.... and I mean like BIG change. I moved from central NC to NW Wyoming. And bought a new camera (a really real camera) along the way. All of a sudden, I lived in a postcard with views that are simply unparalleled. And the wildlife- oh, don’t get me started!! :) Suffice it to say, there is absolutely no shortage of photo ops here! But, I digress.
I was so excited to learn my new camera that I contacted a friend and ask if I could meet her at the finish line of an endurance race she would be riding in. She happily agreed. It was there that I would realize what I felt was a calling... a realization, if you will. (Folks, please note that my business name is HippieChic Creative... so please do expect that I am eclectic and totally believe in logic, magic, and prayer all equally.)
