They were gracious enough to let me look through their donated tack and pick out a saddle.

Still in a bit of a state of disbelief that I have been selected as one of Bob Marshall Wilderness Foundation 's Packer apprentices this summer.

I have been staring at this website since the first week I moved out to Montana after hearing about the BMWF and the praise for their programs. I can't believe my own name and photo are currently up there. I have been dreaming of a life riding and working with stock deep in the wilderness as long as I could remember and am so honored to be selected.

Expressing myself with words isn't my strong suit (no wonder | prefer photos) but a big thank you to everyone who has encouraged me to pursue my own dreams (and help me write bios and help articulate my thoughts to the world

I cannot wait for a summer full of learning from Master Packers, the great outdoors, advocation for our public lands, and of course time spent capturing my favorite four legged creatures in their element.

I can't believe this is my life somedays.It was worth the wait and decades of day dreaming.

Some images from both of our first ever backpacking trip earlier this year. We only saw two bear hunters our whole trip. I know the only way I was able to catch a wink of sleep was thanks to my Berner snoring next to me 🐻

250+ million acres of our public land are up for sale.

Winning the chance to go on a pack trip with Cross Country Equine forever changed my life and had me falling in love with the backcountry. So much so l have moved cross country from the east coast to Montana to ride horses in Glacier National Park and in the surrounding national forests. I aspire to become a packer myself one day and lead my own string into the backcountry. That being said, now is the time more than ever to speak up for the parks and forests that are in jeopardy.

Once OUR land is sold, it's gone. We owe it to the generations before us who preserved the land for us to continue on and preserve our nature for the future generations as well.

- A design inspired by the park signs we all see and enjoy when visiting our public lands, along with the encouraging roar of voices on social media advocating for the land and animals who are unable to speak up for themselves.
