Hello, everyone! I've been so busy with photography and school that I've not had time to post on here for ages, so here I am again. I just thought I would let you all know (even though it's a very last-minute post) that I am attending Nashicon this weekend in Columbia, SC, and that if you need to book a photographer for any quick shoots, I'm at your service!
Needless to say, I'll be at the con for all three days so even if you just want to snag a quick picture, don't be afraid to tap me on the shoulder and ask! I'm really excited for all of my shoots at Nashi this year, and I'm just as equally thrilled to get to be able to share those pictures with you. :)

This picture is from one of my Banzaicon shoots, done with The Dapper Muffin in her Madoka cosplay! She looked so much like Madoka that it astounded me. ^^

It was a dream to do a shoot with two cosplayers cosplaying as Sayaka and Kyoko from Madoka Magica. They were absolutely such fun to work with!

I'm very thankful to everyone on here who's taken interest in my work and has liked my page! I really appreciate all of your kindness and support, and to have broken past one hundred likes is simply beyond words of thanks, and I'm very, very grateful.

I'd like to give the warm thoughts back to you all by wishing for you to stay safe in this horrible weather that South Carolina is experiencing. Roads and cars are getting completely covered by water, houses are being flooded, and sirens are going off left and right; please do NOT drive in this terrifying weather! I am in no way exaggerating when I say that you will be risking your life by driving on some of those roads, and that no event or place is worth risking that.

I'm sad to have been unable to attend Soda City Comic Con due to this terrible weather, but I strongly advise con attendees to stay home, and if you're already at the con, please go home and stay home. While the convention might still be going and as fun as it might be, there is no reason to risk your life for it. I understand the hard work and efforts put into producing such an event, but I repeat, it is NOT WORTH IT. Please do not go out in this weather!!

I'm fervently wishing for everyone to stay unharmed in this weather, and I hope that all this raining and flooding ends soon. Stay safe, everyone!!!

Valhallacon was full of pleasant surprises, one of them being how fun doing a shoot with The Dapper Muffin was on Saturday! They were such a pleasure to work with, and their cosplay was absolutely amazing. I'm incredibly happy that I was able to help them with their first shoot, and to debut their Madoka at Valhallacon!

While I am definitely not going to attempt booking as closely as I did at Nashi (a huge apology to all of those that were inconvenienced!), I would like to fill the last few slots I have. ^,^ So please don't hesitate to contact me about scheduling a shoot!

Late-night editing can really take a lot of energy! As I'm sure do all other assignments late in the day...I hope you guys have been sleeping well. Sleep's important! It helps you fill up on HP!

I had an absolutely amazing time at NashiCon, my first time there as Shinrei Photography! I met some incredible cosplayers, and every single one was just as patient and kind as the next. I really feel myself growing and becoming better as a photographer. It makes me excited.

On another note, I've updated the website in terms of design, and will update the gallery within the next few weeks with photographs from shoots at the convention. In the meantime, here's a sneak peek at the Borderlands shoot I did with The Fullmetal Cosplayer, with whom I had the pleasure of working with at the convention.

I am exceedingly happy to announce that all the slots for Nashicon have been filled! It's almost unbelievable that I'll have a full schedule at the second convention I'm attending as SP, and I'm becoming more and more excited as the days go by. The convention is in less than a week, and I'm looking forward to meeting all of the cosplayers that have contacted me so far.
I can't wait to see you all at Nashi! ^,^

I hope everyone had a wonderful, love-filled Valentine's Day! Be it with your significant other, friends, family, or your favorite television series, I hope everyone's Saturday was a fantastic one. ^,^ I would also like to take this opportunity to propose a toast to one of the coolest couples I know, the Beuttenmullers! They're great to work with when it comes to shoots, and they're amazing cosplayers.
Speaking of cosplay, have you started thinking of yours for Nashicom? I'll be there for at least Saturday and Sunday (I'm crossing my fingers for Friday), and I'm still open to be booked for most time slots on those days. So make sure to ask for an appointment before the time for the convention is too near, otherwise you may not get your first choice of time slots! I'm very excited to be going this year. :)

In other news, Nashicon is approaching quickly! I plan on attending and setting aside time for shoots, so I hope to book some soon. That way I can see which characters I need to research in order to figure out how best to take pictures of the characters. ^,^ Need a photographer for the con? I'm definitely looking forward to taking pictures of the awesome cosplays that are sure to be present!
