I’m just gonna go ahead and say it.

Yes, we’re officially in the holiday-photo season.

But your holiday pictures don’t have to scream holiday. They don’t have to be a quick little timestamp that lives on a card for a few weeks and then disappears into a drawer.

Get the pictures you actually want to live with.

Put them on your walls. Give them to the grandparents. Share them with the family. Keep them around all year because you genuinely love looking at them.

Your holiday photos can be the gift that keeps on giving. You get to decide what you want them to feel like, and what you want to do with them afterward.

So if you’re thinking about family photos this year, now’s the time to figure out your vibe and get on the calendar.

The little details change so quickly.

The tiny hands. The feet. The curve of an ear. The way they look at you before their face starts to change and fill out.

Newborn photos aren’t just about getting a beautiful picture of the baby. They’re about documenting all those tiny details that you don’t realize you’ll miss until they’ve changed.

Because they will change. Constantly.

And someday, you’ll look back at these and remember just how small they really were.

Sure, I can take pictures of people smiling all day long.

But when I say I photograph everything at an event, I mean everything.

The trophies waiting to be handed out. Someone loading up their ice cream. The details on the tables. The hands, the food, the things people are doing, receiving, making, and experiencing.

Those photographs are what give the laughing and smiling photographs some context. They tell you what was happening around the people, not just what they looked like while it was happening.

The big moments are important. The little things are what help tell the whole story.

If your business, organization, or group has events coming up this holiday season and you need someone to photograph what’s actually happening, I’d love to hear from you.

Events can be a lot of fun. Having someone there who knows how to document the whole thing makes a big difference.

Autumn is here, which means we’re officially in family-photo season.

If you want pictures for holiday cards, gifts for the grandparents, or just some updated photos of the people you live with, now is the time to get on the calendar.

I still have dates available for this autumn. If you’ve been meaning to do it, go ahead and reach out and we’ll get something scheduled.

If you’re building a business around something you love doing, don’t forget to show people what you actually do.

These were made for a friend who was getting started with microblading, and the goal was simple: create images that showed the work, the process, and the person behind it.

Because sometimes the best way to tell people what you do is to let them see you doing it.

Your work deserves to be documented, too.

A photo session doesn’t have to be a whole production.

Sometimes it’s just a trip to the park, letting the kids have fun, letting you guys hang out together, and me following along with a camera.

No elaborate setup. No perfectly posed family portrait for an hour. Just time together and photographs of what that actually looks like.

Honestly, those are some of my favorite sessions.

One of the things I love about an elopement is having time to actually slow down.

This couple had a private ceremony and an extended photo session, just the two of them and a little time to breathe before celebrating with everyone else later.

There’s something really special about that kind of space. No rushing through a handful of portraits before the next thing on the timeline. No crowd waiting for you to finish. Just time to wander around, laugh, hold each other, and let the photographs happen naturally.

The big celebration can come later. Sometimes you just need a little time for the two of you first.

One of my favorite parts of a wedding day is the couple’s portraits.

There usually isn’t a ton of time for them, but it’s worth carving out a little space to step away from everything else for a few minutes. No guests, no timeline, no one needing anything from you. Just the two of you, taking a breath and actually getting to be together for a minute.

These are the photographs you’ll have long after the flowers are gone, the cake is eaten, and the day itself becomes a story you tell.

Even if a full family portrait isn’t really your thing, you can still get in the picture.

Sometimes the goal is simply to capture your kids while they’re still kids. Let them run around, have fun, and be themselves.

You get the memories without turning the whole thing into a formal family portrait session.
