Welcome to Senior Sunday.

Reagan’s senior year is already shaping up to be a full one. This Class of 2027 senior from St. Francis DeSales plays both soccer & lacrosse and leads the student section. She spent her summer traveling the East Coast for lacrosse, touring colleges and fitting in as much time with friends as she could.

She’s smart, beautiful, athletic—and apparently pretty unbothered by a summer storm. 😊

Halfway through Reagan’s session, the rain came DOWN. Instead of letting it ruin our evening, we waited it out, laughed about it and headed to her school stadium … where somehow there was sunshine, dry ground and not another drop of rain.

And the best part? This isn’t the last time I get to photograph her.

Reagan’s family chose my Collection 4, which means I’ll get to capture her a couple more times throughout senior year. I love the idea of telling more than one little piece of a senior’s story—and I already can’t wait to see what the rest of Reagan’s year holds.

Class of 2027 is looking pretty beautiful from here.

To all of my seniors having their last first day this week — I’m cheering so big for you!

For the friendships, the Friday nights, the traditions, the big decisions, the little moments you don’t even know you’ll miss yet…and all the growing that’s still ahead.

Soak it up, Class of 2027. This year is yours!

And Ryann, you sure make the beginning of senior year look beautiful. 🧡💙

Welcome to Senior Sunday.

I’ve known Emmy for about five years, so I was especially excited when it was finally her turn for senior pictures.

We spent the evening strolling through the park, laughing a LOT and catching up—although I think we still need a coffee or ice cream date to finish all the catching up together.

When I asked this CSG senior what she’s most excited about for senior year, her answer was: “Everything!”

Turning 18, a celebratory trip to Ireland, and a whole year of memories ahead—I have a feeling Emmy is going to soak it all in.

I can’t wait to follow along. Enjoy everything, Emmy.

Kudos to all the seniors who are training for senior year before they even step foot in the classroom.

You’re giving it your all at practices in this heat, working on college essays, and squeezing in one more ice cream run with friends before summer ends.

Class of 2027, soak up these last little pieces of summer.

Henry was happiest the minute I told him he could put his sunglasses on. 😎

Turns out, this Jonathan Alder senior is a bit of a sunglasses collector — and once they came out, everything just felt a little more him.

That’s always the goal. Senior pictures that don’t just look like you but feel like you.

Class of 2027, your future is so bright!

Welcome to Senior Sunday.

This week is all about Anna, a Class of 2027 senior at New Albany High School.

One of my favorite parts of senior sessions is the time I get to spend learning about the person in front of my camera — and I think Anna has such a fun year ahead of her. She was relieved to have finished her senior project from this summer, is in season for playing both tennis and field hockey, loves her dogs, and when I asked what she’s most looking forward to in the classroom this year, her answer was AP Chemistry and AP Art. I love that combination!

We wandered through the gardens, played in the wildflowers, and captured her along the way.

Anna, I hope these photographs always take you right back to who you were at the beginning of your senior year — and I hope it’s a really good one. 🤍

I found myself smiling throughout this session and beyond.

Maybe it was because I kept imagining what it’s like to work alongside your adult children every day. Sharing lunch, solving problems together, celebrating wins, and watching the people you raised become talented professionals in their own right.

Every family business has its own story, and I loved getting a small glimpse into this one while creating updated branding images for Shaffer Capital.

Thank you for trusting me with your story. It was an honor to help tell a small part of it.

Every business has a story worth telling. If you’re ready to update the way yours is seen, I’d love to help.

Today one of my own sons turned 20.

Moments like this are why I believe so deeply in photographs. One minute they’re graduating high school, and the next they’re blowing out 20 candles.

The older my kids get, the more I realize these ordinary celebrations become extraordinary memories. I’m so grateful I had my camera nearby for this smile.

Happy birthday, Johnny 🥳🎂♥️

Welcome to Senior Sunday.

August has a way of making everything feel real.

The Common App is officially open. College lists are taking shape. It’s the month of the last first day of high school. Senior year is no longer “someday”—it’s here.

Somewhere in the middle of all of that, I hope every senior takes a moment to slow down and celebrate this season. It goes by so much faster than anyone expects.

Ellie absolutely shined during her session, and I’m so excited to kick off Senior Sundays for the Class of 2027 with her.

If you’re a Class of 2027 senior (or the parent of one), I’d be honored to help you remember this once-in-a-lifetime season. Some fall dates are already filled, but there are still some openings on my calendar.

Here’s to the beginning of an unforgettable senior year.

This is why I love senior photography.

It’s never just about beautiful images. It’s about slowing down long enough to celebrate who someone is before life changes again. For Kate, that meant making room for the trumpet she’s spent years playing, the paintbrushes that fuel her creativity, the letter jacket she’s earned, and even the Curious George who’s been part of her story for years.

Today she turns 18, and I can’t imagine a sweeter way to begin my Class of 2027 senior season. Happy Birthday, Kate. Thank you for trusting me with this milestone.

Here’s to celebrating every Class of 2027 senior I get to capture!
