I always love it when I get to work with siblings of my past seniors! Getting to know my seniors and their families is, for me, one of the biggest joys of being a high school senior photographer. Class of 2027 Seniors: I Can’t Believe It’s Already the Last Day of July!

Seriously, where did the summer go? If you haven’t booked your senior session yet, now’s the time! I’ve got a stress-free timeline designed to give you plenty of time to prep and feel completely ready when the day comes.

Here’s a quick peek at how the In Lovely Light client experience flows—from booking all the way to having your gorgeous images in hand:

• 2-4 months out: Schedule your Senior Consult call where we can get to know each other and decide which In Lovely Light Senior Experience is right for you.

• 1-2 months out: Time to get organized! Once booked, I’ll send you a link to your personalized website filled with some awesome resources —think outfit tips, prep ideas, location guides and everything you need to feel confident and portrait-perfect.

• 2-3 weeks out: Meet me online for your pre-session planning call where we’ll go through all the details for your session from outfits to locations to posing, editing, props and more!

• Session day: The big day! Get ready to have fun and make some amazing memories!

• Later that week: We’ll go through your proofing gallery together to help you narrow it down to your favorite images (or keep them all if you choose The Ultimate Session!).

• 2-3 weeks after you’ve chosen your favorites: You’ll receive a link to your final online gallery—your personalized collection of your favorite beautiful photos! You can download your images, and if you’re ready, place your order for products like canvases, albums, and more.

• 1-2 weeks after ordering: Your heirloom products arrive at your doorstep, ready to be displayed and cherished forever.

Well, this was fun! Emma and I stopped by a local record store this weekend and I love what we created together!

When you plan your senior session, remember to think about locations that will add some fun and variety to your final images. Sure, we'll capture those dreamy photos in a field that you're wanting, but let's remember to add unique spots that showcase your interests, too.
