Mason, Pickerington High School Central Class of 2027! Another great guy who is active in just about everything he can fit into his schedule (and then some). We started off in the studio for a few shots that reflected his style and his love for Volleyball. Check out the shot of some very special shoes he wears for volleyball. I absolutely love the meaning behind them!!

Happy 4th of July all!! Hope you are enjoying celebrations with the people you love.

What a great day to post the beautiful S family! Luke and Lilly have participated on my model team this year, and I am SO thankful the family decided to get their photos done. Mom is a photographer herself (no pressure, Erica 😉). They hadn't had photos done in years, so it was high time she stepped in FRONT of the camera with her favorite people. A decision she will never regret.

My Spring Family Minis are complete and I can finally share a few! The B family happens to be one of my favorite families on the planet, so taking their photos was an absolute treat. They are just fun to be around.

When you're a fan of Elvis, and you're participating in a photoshoot at a reformatory, a Jail House Rock set must happen. Mason and his mom handled this entire look - and nailed it!! If you go back to my model team intros, you'll see that Mason did this first pose at that session as well. We pretty much made all his Elvis dreams come true. ;)

The Battle Within.

On the day of the Mansfield Mayhem event, Makara's mom Brooke got an idea for a photo. I'll fully admit that I am normally a planner and I develop ideas of days, weeks and even months - but Brooke sprung into gear to help and between the two of us (and Makara of course), we made it happen!!! I had the white dress, the cape, and the fabric "wings" you see in the first shot. Makara had the black dress AND, WITH ONLY HOURS TO WORK ON IT... Brooke made the wings you see in the second shot. I mean, talk about dedication to the idea!!!! A little bit of double exposure action, a little (lot) of Photoshop love, and we have a finished product. So fun to see it all come together.

The really cool (and creepy) part of shooting at the Mansfield Reformatory is that we actually could go into the prison cells. And when I say creepy - I mean CREEEEPY. When preparing for the event, I stumbled upon photos of the "Birdman of Alcatraz" (which if you read the actual facts, he should have been called the "Birdman of Leavenworth"). Something about a man in solitary confinement befriending birds -who are meant to be free but sometimes in cages - is just fascinating to me. So I had Mason help me with a few shots depicting this story from the inside of one of the cells.
