Jaime needed an updated headshot ready for an upcoming speaking engagement, one photo that would sit naturally alongside her team's current leadership headshots. Not a full rebrand. Just one photo that actually looked like her, right now, at the level she's operating at.

There is a difference between a gallery link and something you can hold.

These album pages belong to the same family, photographed across two different chapters, years apart. Two albums, one for each child. What stayed the same is the choice to make something lasting out of it: leather covers framing not just a photograph, but a moment. Their child.

Each one becomes the album your child reaches for when they want to know their story.

There is a version of your family that exists only right now. Not last year. Not next spring. Right now — the age they are today, the way they look at you today, the dynamic that exists in this exact season.

She keeps saying later. And later keeps not happening. And somewhere in the back of her mind she knows that the window she keeps meaning to step through is quietly getting smaller.

The sessions I do in the fall are the ones that stop time. Golden hour, foliage, the last of the warm light before everything changes. I’m currently accepting fall sessions for families, maternity, and seniors across New Albany, Columbus, Westerville, and surrounding communities.

Erik has been playing piano since before he can remember. By his senior year he's competing and performing with the New Albany Symphony Orchestra and he approached his senior session the same way he approaches the keys. With complete focus.

We photographed him twice. Once in his family's music room in New Albany, and once in studio. The music room gave us the casual, focused version of Erik: sheet music scattered across the floor, afternoon light coming through the windows, completely in his element. The studio gave us the formal version: the chess board, the suit, the same intensity he brings to a competition.

Two sessions. Two sides of the same person. One senior year that deserved both.

There is something particular about Franklin Park Community Gardens in late afternoon. The light comes in low through the gardens, the black-eyed Susans are at their peak in late summer, and the whole place does something that no other location in Columbus quite manages at golden hour.

She came with three outfits and moved through all of it, the meadow, the fountain court, the red barn, the garden gate, with the kind of ease that only comes from a senior who already knows exactly who she is. Westerville Central. Class of 2024. still one of my favorites.

We came back in the spring for cap and gown under the cherry blossoms in New Albany. And then the college tee, jumping, arms up, the blossoms filling the frame behind her. The look of someone who has been waiting a long time to feel exactly this.

She is studying nursing at the University of Cincinnati now. She already knew that when we photographed her and you could feel it. These images were proof before the proof was needed.

By the end of a session, something shifts. The camera disappears. What's left is just the person, exactly as they are.

Peonies in every direction, the gazebo just visible in the distance behind her, 28 weeks of the most beautiful kind of full. And that smile, completely unguarded, completely real.

This is what fine art portrait photography actually is. Not a posed portrait. A true one.

Four years inside one of the most storied campuses in the country. A film major who spent his time studying the way stories are told, and somehow ended up in front of a building that looks like it was built for one.

This is Walt. Kenyon College, class of 2026.

I photographed him all over campus — Chalmers Library, Middle Path, the Church of the Holy Spirit, Old Kenyon — but kept coming back to this one. The Ascension. The place that knew him best.

There is a spot at Franklin Park Conservatory that feels like it belongs in a painting. White lattice gazebo, lush garden beds layering in every direction, soft blooms in the foreground.

I’d scouted this spot before we ever arrived. Some locations you just know.

Leslie is wearing the Marabella gown by Indie Blue Collection in mint tulle. At 28 weeks she was glowing in a way the camera barely had to work to find.

Leslie’s session is part of The Collective, a year-long portrait program that follows families from pregnancy through baby’s first birthday. Four sessions. One continuous story.
