One of the biggest things and honestly one of my favorite parts of attending a new LARP through my “Grow With You” package is getting to experience the game as a player and storyteller first.

I love sitting down after an event and writing a true first-impression recount:
what the atmosphere felt like
what stood out
the community vibes
the combat
the immersion
and those little moments that make a game memorable

Not just as a photographer… but as someone genuinely invested in watching these games grow over the years.

Here’s my full thoughts and experience from my first time attending Knights of Horrors this year. It was definitely a unique experience and one I’m excited to watch evolve. 🖤

This year has been a huge one for the Grow With You package.

I’m incredibly excited to officially be working alongside THREE new or growing LARPs this season:

🔥 Knights of Horrors
⚔️ Conquest of Vastarlands Conquest of Vastarland LARP
🛡️ Deliverance LARP

Watching these games build their worlds, communities, aesthetics, and stories from the ground up has honestly been one of the most rewarding parts of this project.

The goal of Grow With You has always been simple:
Help newer games establish strong, consistent media coverage while building hype, professionalism, trust, and a recognizable visual identity early on.

I’m genuinely excited to watch these communities evolve over the next few years seeing player bases grow, stories deepen, camps improve, and each game slowly develop its own unique culture and identity. There’s something really special about getting to document the beginning stages of a game before it fully takes off.

And thanks to the support this year…

Excited to finally share that GamerGurl Photography will be working alongside Deliverance LARP to help capture the moments, characters, and atmosphere that make these immersive gatherings feel alive.

Deliverance is focused on smaller-scale, community-driven events where players can bring out their favorite kits, test ideas, workshop concepts, and simply enjoy good roleplay with good people. Whether you walk the field as Temir, Rytir, Pavesier, Roman, Gaul, or something entirely your own this is the kind of environment where stories grow naturally.

Looking forward to documenting the grit, personality, camp life, combat, and cinematic little moments that deserve to be remembered.
