Someone literally just handed me an Oglethorpe County time capsule. ❤️🎞️

A longtime local resident and client recently brought me a collection of Super 8 home movies that have been in her family for nearly 50 years.

And here's the incredible part…

She has never seen what's on them.

As she handed me these reels, I could see the excitement and anticipation on her face—and honestly, I'm just as excited as she is. 😂

The very first thing that caught my eye was this little handwritten label:

🎞️ “SWAMP VACATION — JULY 1978”

She isn't exactly sure what that was, either. Which means we're about to find out together. 👀

Then I noticed those little labels of history…

“Grant's — .88”

That sent me down a whole nother rabbit hole. 😂

W. T. Grant was a department-store chain that operated for decades before filing for bankruptcy in 1976. It was located in the Beachwood Shopping Center in Athens.
So these tiny 88¢ sticker are little clues from a store that hasn't existed in 50 years.

And that's what I love about this.

These aren't just old reels of film.

They're pieces of someone's family history.

There may be vacations, birthdays, holidays, children, grandparents, homes, places that don't exist anymore…or maybe something completely unexpected hiding on these reels.

And right now, we have no idea.

I get to be the person who helps bring those memories back to life.

There is something incredibly special about knowing that I can take something that has been sitting untouched in a box for decades and give a family the chance to see, hear, remember and preserve those moments for the next generation.

That is the part of this business that fills my heart. ❤️

So now the big question is…what in the world is on “Swamp Vacation 1978 & those .88 cent Grant Reels?

I can't wait to find out. 🎞️❤️

Some photographs capture a moment... others capture a story.

This artistic double exposure holds a special place in my heart because every detail tells part of my son and daughter-in-law's wedding day.

The beautiful white arch wasn't rented—it was lovingly handcrafted by the bride's father.

The vibrant floral arrangements were designed and created by the bride and her mother, making every piece a labor of love.

The glowing lights suspended throughout the trees were one of the reasons they fell in love with this venue, creating the magical atmosphere they had always envisioned.

The benches represent the place where family and friends gathered to witness two lives become one, surrounded by the beauty of nature and the people who love them most.

When I created this image, I wanted it to be more than a wedding portrait. I wanted it to preserve the pieces of the day that meant the most to them—the love, the memories, the hard work, and the little details that might otherwise fade with time.

Sometimes the most meaningful photographs aren't just about what you see... they're about the story they continue to tell.

As a photographer, I hope every couple receives at least one image that tells the story of their wedding—not just how it looked, but how it felt.

✨ Happy One Month Anniversary! ✨

One month ago, these two said "I do," and became Mr. & Mrs. Roncadori. I wanted to surprise them with something a little special.

One of the things I love most about photography is blending real moments with my creativity to create artwork that tells a story. This double-exposure portrait was inspired by their wedding day at the lake where they celebrated with family and friends.

As a little one month congratulations, I've added the full-resolution image minus my logo to your online wedding gallery. I hope it's something you'll treasure for many years to come.

Photography isn’t just about taking pictures—it’s about creating memories that become heirlooms.

Every now and then, I quietly work on a “surprise image” that my clients have no idea is coming.

These are the ones I pour my heart and creativity into. They become my favorite projects because they end up being truly unique images for my clients to cherish forever.

✨ The venue is booked, the countdown has begun, and love is definitely in the air! ✨

Some of my favorite photographs are the ones that tell a story.

The ones that make you feel like you were standing right there in the moment... you can feel the laughter, the love, the excitement, and the friendships that surrounded it.

To me, that's what wedding photography is all about.

The truth is, though... I can't create those moments.

I can only capture what is already there.

This was one of those moments. ❤️

Some weddings are more than just a wedding...they're a community coming together. ❤️
Last weekend, I had the honor of photographing a beautiful wedding here in Oglethorpe County at a farm down in Stephens. Looking around, I saw so many familiar faces—neighbors and families who have known each other for years. It reminded me what makes small-town communities so special.
One of my favorite images from the day isn't a traditional portrait at all. It's this collection of boots.
Each pair tells a little story & together they capture the heart of a community where love, family, and tradition all come together.
I love when a couple has a vision and isn't afraid to make it their own. Those personal touches are what make a wedding unforgettable—not just for the bride and groom, but for everyone lucky enough to witness it.
