Newborn, family and women. Photography is my passion and I love what I do.

I am a mother of two, English-Portuguese speaker. Love to photograph the love. Families pictures, seniors, weddings. But, my passion is bellies and babies.

These photos feel so much like me, Elaine Freitas. Let me introduce myself again for the new followers.
They were taken by my dear friend Luciana during one of our lavender farm collaborations. I’m usually the one behind the camera, so it was such a gift to slow down, enjoy the moment, and let someone else capture me.
When I look at these images, I see the person I am at heart. Someone who loves people, loves life, and feels incredibly grateful to do work that has so much meaning, photography.
For over 17 years, I’ve had the privilege of photographing families as they grow, welcoming tiny newborns into the world, and creating memories that become part of their legacy. There is nothing more rewarding than knowing these photographs will be treasured long after today.
Another joy of my work is photographing women. I love helping them see the beauty I already see in them. Being part of that moment is one of the things I love most about my work.
I believe every season of life deserves to be remembered. The big milestones matter, but so do these quiet, beautiful days that pass by so quickly.
Thank you, Luciana Calvin for capturing this sweet hot summer day in the lavender and for photographing me in such a genuine way. These images remind me that sometimes it’s good to step in front of the camera too.
I’d love to know what you see when you look at these photos. Photography is so personal, and every image tells a different story depending on who’s looking at it.
What do these photos say to you? I’d love to read your thoughts in the comments.

I wasn’t planning to offer Lavender Farm Sessions this year.

But on Sunday, I went to Brigham Farm to pick my own lavender, and after talking with the owner, we decided to make it happen.

So I’m opening ONLY two evenings next week, before the farm opens again for their Pick Your Own Lavender event on the 11th.

If you’ve been dreaming of photos surrounded by beautiful lavender, this is your chance. These sessions are perfect for families, couples, maternity, children, or even just for yourself.

Once these two dates are full, that will be it for this year.

Sometimes we spend so much of our lives taking care of everyone else that we forget to celebrate ourselves.

When Wendy stepped into my studio, she wasn't just coming for portraits. She was choosing to honor the woman she has become after years of caring for her family, building her career, and showing up for the people she loves.

She told me she is proud of turning 50. I love that. There is something beautiful about reaching a place where you stop worrying about what others think and start enjoying the life you've built.

This is why I created the 25 Faces, 25 Stories project. Every woman has a story worth telling. Every line, every smile, every chapter deserves to be remembered.

Thank you, Wendy, for trusting me with your story.

If you could celebrate this season of your life with a portrait, what would it say about you?

Mary's story is a reminder that life does not stop at a certain age. It keeps inviting us to grow, create, and become more of who we are.
At 59, Mary said yes to being part of my 25 Faces, 25 Stories project. Through our conversation, she shared her journey of resilience, creativity, motherhood, business ownership, and learning to embrace every chapter of life with courage and joy.

What I loved most about Mary's story was her willingness to keep reinventing herself while staying true to who she is.

Thank you, Mary, for sharing your story and allowing me to celebrate the beautiful woman you are. Your story matters.
