Excited to announce I will be coming out of retirement to shoot and interview Little Miss Nasty at Scout Bar on Saturday May 6th!! And even more excited I get to share this adventure with my oldest, Zoe!

TAG Publicity reached out to me to shoot for Davey Su***de at Scout Bar. As always, it was an honor to shoot for TAG, capture moments for Davey and to shoot my final show where my career took off, Scout Bar.

It was bitter sweet for me because I got to share the night with my oldest daughter who graduates tomorrow but it due to some health issues I'm having while i battle I am having to take a break from doing something that brings me so much joy till I can figure out a treatment that works for me.

So with that being said, here are my pics from wonderful night.

Well yall, it looks like Shooting Triplicates Photography will be back behind the camera on March 18 to shoot the awesome band Doyle which includes everyone favorite Misfits Green faced guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein and front man, "love story" enthusiasts, Alex Story .

I have shot for this group many times through the years of doing concert photography but this will be the first time I am not shooting them at scout bar and super excited to see how these pictures will differ from past shoots due to it being an outside venue!!

Thanks to Tom George and the TAG Publicity - Public Community for reaching out and pulling my butt out of "photography retirement" to shoot this show. I hope to provide you will more amazing shots as I have in the past and going to try to get that infamous shot of Doyle blowing a bubble with his bazooka bubble gum that we all try to get but only few manage to capture, I have managed to capture it twice😉.

See yall on the 18th!!

I want to give a big Thank you to GATE Photography for putting together yesterday's downtown Purge photo shoot. Despite it raining after shooting less than an hour, I am pleased with the photos I got but wish we could have gotten more.

What an amazing feeling it is to get online and see that your business has been tagged by and then seeing that one of your photos has been used to promote the next leg of their tour. It does not matter how many times, how big or small the musician or band is, it's a moment of pure appreciation and honor that they have chosen a moment that you captured to be the visual representation of them. That is a HUGE honor!!

In concert photography many times the only way our photos get seen is through our social media pages or our business web pages, if the disclosure we sign before most shows even allow that because there are a lot of labels that do not allow this. When an artist/social media executive sees your photos of their bands set and likes it enough to use it to promote said musician it is a huge thing and gives us a little bit of validation that we are doing a kick ass job.

There have been many times I have contemplated hanging up my camera because of the lack of money that is made in this area of photography unless you are a touring photographer with the band or on staff with a big magazine. But my bigger issue is the lack of respect while at some shows from ppl at venues, roadies, and concert goers due to me being female. They automatically group me with being a "groupy" or a "newby" who doesn't know anything about being in the industry. Even after 5 years of doing this, I still get faced with this issue. It gets tiring constantly dealing with it. I have learned not to say anything to these ppl and just have my web page up and ready to show them my work. After they see my work they shut up and in my mind I think, "yeah, suck it" but I smile and go about my way.

So when my work gets acknowledged it gives me that little but of fuel to keep pushing and reminds me my work is good enough and I will continue to produce kick ass pictures and fight the stereotype that is out there about women in the music industry.

As some of you know, my baby sister, Elizabeth Gonzales-Jimenez passed away June 8th from a slow bleed aneurysm in her sleep.

This Sunday, June 27th we celebrate the life of my sister and help raise money for her family and share memories of her crazy ass at Union Tavern from 5pm-2am.

Please, even if you only met my baby sister once, I know she said something to make you laugh that was who she was, I ask for you to come out and share that moment with us because its those memories that keep her alive within us.

I couple weeks ago I was honored with being allowed to take photos of this young lady, Miriam an U of H graduate. It was only by chance that this happened. My daughters hamster died and each time one dies we bury it at the cemetery at my husband's grave. As we were leaving I see this family taking pictures and a young lady in her cap and gown. I automatically start to tear up because this will be my kids when they graduate. They will be going to the cemetery to show their achievement of getting their degree by wearing this cap and gown.
As we past by I told the kids I wish I had my camera in the car because I would love to offer them photos. My oldest looks at me and says, "mom, here it is" I NEVER leave my camera in my car, like NEVER!!
She smiles at me and I said, "you think I'm crazy don't you?" She giggled and responded with, "not anymore than normal".
When I pulled up and spoke to the family and explained who I was, why we were there and that it would be an honor to take a few photos.
Miriam agreed and I started taking these photos. Photos that are very sentimental and intimate and I love that they are allowing me to share them with yall.
Despite the fact that Miriams mother passed away when she was only 8 years old, Miriam went on to graduate from U of H with a degree instead of falling victim to her circumstances, she decided to make something of her life and make her mother proud. I pray my children do the same thing. Thank you Mirian and Evette for allowing me to be a part of this tender time.
