Self Love & Healing Session
Healing does not always look loud. Sometimes it looks like quiet mornings, rediscovering old hobbies, learning how to sit with yourself, and finally realizing that being alone does not mean being lonely. โจ
Oliviaโs session felt like stepping into a new chapter. One filled with softness, peace, acceptance, and freedom. For so long, she felt like she had to become someone else in order to fit in, constantly pouring pieces of herself into relationships, friendships, and spaces that slowly pulled her away from who she truly was. Walking away from those things was painful, and at one point it felt like the end of the world. But somewhere in the middle of all that loss, she found something even more important: herself.
Throughout this entire session, I saw strength in the gentlest ways. In the way she carried herself. In the way she laughed freely. In the quiet confidence that came through every image. There was no pretending here just Olivia embracing every little piece of who she is becoming. The girl who loves music, books, writing, video games, bright yellow, and the simple joy of being fully herself again.
I think thatโs exactly what these photos represent. Not just healing from the past, but learning to let go of it. Learning that your worth is not defined by who stays, who leaves, or who understands you. Learning that peace can exist after heartbreak, after loneliness, after change.
One of the most beautiful things Olivia said was that she feels most like herself when sheโs working with the kids at her daycare. I think that says everything about the kind of person she is warm, nurturing, light-filled, and deeply genuine. The world needs more people like her. (How lucky am I that my daughter is in her classroom.)
This session was peaceful. It was powerful. It was the transition from loneliness into solitude. From searching for happiness in other people to finally creating it within herself. And above all else, it was about returning to the person she was always meant to be.
