Everything is trial and error, amiright?

It has taken me a while to get sunflowers just right, second year of zinnias (better than the first!) and the first for pumpkins… pumpkins are interesting because we have terrrrrible soil… but this is the first year I’ve grown ANY pumpkins at all!!! So, step by step! And I think I know exactly what went wrong this year 😍 so next year WILL be better!!

The question is, do we need pumpkins plopped in front of the zinnias for a ‘fake pumpkin patch’? Or do we just need to nix pumpkin patch minis this year and try again next year!”?!

And put something in place of pumpkin patch minis like a DIFFERENT FALL OR CHRISTMAS SET?!

Years ago, I had the pleasure of shooting with Kyle & Hunter in sunflowers at another farm so, gifting a session to Hunter & her sweet babies in my own sunflowers 9 years later felt like a 'full circle' moment...

Just before the session is actually starting, Everly is picking a flower for her momma, then one for her little sister... and then 'this one's for daddy'... and I don't think I will ever forget that sweet little moment.

Images from Hunter and Kyle's first session in the sunflowers with me circa 2017 at the very end 🫶🏻
