Life has been a little hectic last few weeks. Hoping to have Lawton Speedway 5/16/26 pics post tonight or in the morning. My eyes and headaches have calmed enough to try and get everything finished up.

Whether you’re a local racer pulling in every Saturday night or traveling with a series chasing the next checkered flag, dirt track racing becomes a way of life.

There’s always going to be heated moments, differences of opinions, arguments, and even fights… but what family doesn’t have that? At the end of the day, we still line up beside each other every weekend doing what we love.

It’s the long nights, muddy shoes, busted knuckles, last minute thrashes in the pits, and memories made at the track that keep us coming back. From the drivers and crews to the fans, photographers, officials, and staff members… everybody plays a role in making this sport what it is.

Some people just see race cars going in circles. We see friendships, passion, dedication, and a family that stretches far beyond the racetrack. And honestly, all of it — the good, the bad, the chaos, and the memories — somehow just feels like home. 🏁

I swear you could’ve slipped a piece of paper between these cars last night. 😮‍💨🔥
The racing was THAT good before the storm rolled in and cut the night short before the A Feature could be completed.

As a photographer, I almost wish I would’ve had a different angle just to really show how unbelievably close these cars were racing. That’s the kind of action that makes dirt track racing so addictive. 🏁📸
