Are you an art enthusiast? If so, this listing in Arlington, TX was an interesting one to photograph! It was once owned by the late Roy Lee Ward (1941-2015), an American Postwar & Contemporary painter of the historical and western genres. In 1995, he was recognized by the State of Texas as the “Texas State Artist.”

The sellers told the Realtor, Bill Dent, and I how Roy used the sun room as his studio, due to the amount of natural light the tall row of windows brought in.

Some virtual staging for a builder client ( ) in Granbury! This was his first home build and it was so cute! Located in the gated community of Indian Harbor, near Lake Granbury. Can’t wait to see your next ones! 🙌

Virtual Staging is a great way to inspire buyers to envision themselves and their belongings within a home. It can also show how their furnishings can be arranged with a certain space, like in the first photos’s living/dining/kitchen open concept.

📸 Welcome to Texas Takes Real Estate Photography! If we haven’t met, I’m Kara Avelino, owner and photographer.

As a two-time homebuyer, I’ve learned first hand that buying and selling a home is an extremely important and emotional decision.

As an Army veteran, during PCS season I grew an appreciation for homes with quality photos, but also a frustration for indistinct or nonexistent photos. Especially, as an out-of-state buyer.

During my transition out of the military, I developed an interest in filling those gaps for other buyers. That interest has now grown into finding a passion and peace in photographing spaces that evoke a certain feeling or emotion.

My intention is not to be your standard real estate photographer, but an intuitive curator of images that create a connection between the buyers and the homes.

Now I completely understand that not every property will require that higher level of attention, and that’s ok! I can get the job done with quality photos delivered the very next day to keep your business moving forward!

And to that, I’ll add… Don’t listen to those self-limiting beliefs. Instead, take the opportunities as they come!

I’ve been anxious about expanding into “people photography” such as headshots and professional lifestyle work. When Chelsea called me last week, I couldn’t say no! I can envision who I want to be as a photographer and entrepreneur, and the only way to get there is to take action and jump when that door opens if I can’t bring myself to open the damn door myself. Every single day leading up to this photoshoot I studied, practiced and prepared. I knew I wasn’t going to let this fail, but I did NOT expect these to come out as well as they did, and I’m thrilled to share more! I’m excited about the experience and having a start to list of things I can improve upon so I can keep moving forward! ⏩

These little guys were NOT happy with my drone’s presence! He and his friends were dive-bombing and photo-bombing it the whole time! 😩😂

Luckily, everything came out great! 😄👌
