Magical Lighthouse Moments

I think that lighthouses are one of the most magical things on the coast! I wanted to create a series about different magical moments that I have experienced at lighthouses on my adventures! Portland Head Light was the first lighthouse that I remember going to and has always been a place I’ve consistently gone to since then. This place has always gained my curiosity and I would love to write some made up stories to go with my photos that I’ve taken here.

If you love lighthouses or even want a fun thing to do with friends and family, I highly recommend checking out the USLHS passport program! You can purchase a passport for $16 and there are hundreds of stamps for you to collect at lighthouses, museums and lifesaving stations! Wandering the coastline brings so muc peace, happiness and joy. I’ve loved lighthouse since I’ve seen my first one which was Portland Head Light. They’ve always been a favorite subject of mine to take photos of. Since meeting my girlfriend, I have a whole new appreciation for them and now they mean so much more. Seeing as many lighthouses as possible has always been our thing together. I was in a rough spot when I met her and I truly believe that lighthouses are leading me to the places I’m meant to be. I take every chance I get to go see and be at lighthouses. I travel near and far to see them. I love to make art of them, hear their histories/stories and just take in the beauty all around them. Since they are such a big part of me now, I’m trying to help preserve everything about them. I volunteer at Spring Point Ledge Lighthouse, donate money or buy lighthouse merch whenever I get a USLHS stamp and created a lighthouse themed snail mail club to help raise money to help lighthouses! I’m only at the start of my journey and I really believe it’ll bring me on the great adventure yet!
