hi instagram!!

long time no (activity) see! it was very quiet in 2025 for this page. 2025 was a year of high highs and low lows. 2 things happened that greatly impacted my perspective on life and photography though, the loss of my little brother and the birth of my sweet baby boy. both have only shown me the incredible value of photos though. photography is no longer just a way of being performative for social media or decorating your house. they are truly memories being preserved and that’s not even just a cute slogan for me anymore. when photos are all you have left to remember someone, you think about how many more you wish you had, how many smiles you probably missed, how many different expressions someone had, what did they look like on this day, what did they do on this day….

…and on the flip side you have a life just starting that you also want to document every single moment of because you realize how fast they grow up and you don’t want to miss a thing. (I have 17 billion photos of my baby in my phone)

expressing myself is not comfortable for me and I write this without the help of AI (a win in 2026) while my baby is napping on my chest. is it as eloquent as I wish it was? probably not. is there a lot I want to say about it but an Instagram caption couldn’t sum it up? sure. are words even enough to describe how I feel? nope. but my mission and purpose for photography has changed after experiencing the worst and best year of my life.

going forward, I will be offering photography services to new families, newborns, maternity and just general lifestyle shoots. it’s the direction I feel pulled towards and as much as I love weddings and all the design & love that goes into them, this new chapter feels important. I want to serve families by preserving their memories. 🤍

I’m so excited to get back in the saddle and I can’t wait to continue to grow in this new space as a photographer.

and if I could leave you with one bit of advice that I’ve learned through all this, do not apologize to anyone for taking pictures of moments that matter to you. take the picture!

I always love the energy that bridesmaids bring to the wedding day. 🤍 I have seriously been blessed with some of the best wedding parties and love seeing how happy and excited everyone gets to see their people be married. 💕 Always big smiles all around!!!

Really love the intimacy and charm that adds to a wedding reception. And when you have a talented planner like who added beautiful touches to elevate the environment, you got a real winner!! 🤍 Everyone had the biggest smiles on their faces all night and it was truly magical. ☺️

If only you all knew how cold, wet and windy this weather was. It was monsoon season in Aspen and those storms were COLD. 🤪 However, you can’t pick and choose the weather you have to work in during weddings, so it’s always really fun to challenge myself and find new creative ways to work with Mother Nature. I remember that Sophie was frozen solid and then💡DING, I told her to put Luke’s jacket on for a few photos (and to warm up). I thought it turned out to be a really sweet pose. 🥰 Major props to Sophie and Luke for not looking as cold as it actually was though. 😂

Being a wedding photographer is a lot of adapting and problem solving on the spot!! Sometimes you just gotta roll with the punches as best you can.

I’m simply *amazed* by brides who can stay in their heels all night. Confession: Recently I was a bridesmaid in my brother’s wedding and my heels only stayed on for the ceremony. 🤪 That’s what I get for ordering my shoes a week before the wedding and realizing they were way too tall, way too late.

Cheers to the holidays and all the engaged couples (patiently) waiting for it to be 2024! 🤩🍾

GeorgeAnna and Trevor’s engagement session was something we felt like we waited forever for due to bad weather rescheduling, and I’m SO glad we did. It was the most beautiful sunny and 65 kind of day, and everything fell into place perfectly. ☺️☀️ Aren’t they glowing!!!
