Sometimes you want something soft and gentle, and that's what this session was all about. Soft pastels, frills and lace, a cozy tea party with yummy pastries, with a cozy stroll through l. Amanda looked ethereal in her dress. Bringing her out of her comfort zone and watching her shine was such a joy!

Finally have an editing day to sit back, drink some tea, and enjoy a more cozy day in. The world is slowly waking up outside and I cannot wait to go right back to gardening and creating something beautiful out there! Celebrating the small things in life is so underrated. Every year I get incredible clients who just want to do a shoot for their birthdays, divorces, single valentines day. And every time they have a squad cheering them on and celebrating with them! It's one of the many reasons I love working with women. There's something about draping my clients in very soft, sheer, blush fabric. The way it falls across them really lends itself to this timeless, ethereal, ancient feeling. It's reminiscent of marble statues without the bright white that can so often outside natural skin tones. As a Fantasy Portrait Photographer, this is the kind of thing that I just keep coming back to over and over. It flatters all skin tones and is sooo versatile!

Once a year I get to shoot with this incredible model. .nic always brings such beautiful and unique concepts to me and I'm always so lucky to bring these concepts to life! Shooting with this wonderful creative mind always breathes life back into my own creativity and I cannot thank her enough!

This Selkie shoot was one we did back in AUGUST btw, and it's been burning a hole into my head all throughout the fall and winter. Im so happy I can share some beautiful shots from this set with you guys. And thank you .nic for always being down to get a little messy and insane in our shoots!
