Hi, I’m Michael Granlund. I’m a photographer who finds beauty in both nature and human-made creations. Through my lens, I try to capture the moments we often rush past—the ones that deserve to be noticed and remembered. Photography helps me slow down. I’m someone who naturally moves from one task to the next without pause, but the camera in my hand forces me to stop, observe, and truly be present.

For me it is one way of experiencing the world around me and seeing its beauty. Photography is more than just taking a picture. It is composing visual elements with intention and clarity, in ways that inspire the viewer to imagine their own conclusion to the impression initially created by the photograph.

A lot of people hold off on collecting art because they rent and feel uncertain about committing to walls they do not own. But art does not belong to a wall. It belongs to you.

Renting is not a reason to live with bare walls. It is a reason to collect work that matters enough to keep moving (and growing) with you.
