Hi, my name is Christian Cordeiro, and as some of you may know, I am a young photographer based out of Dartmouth, MA. After a summer of shooting basketball with the Dartmouth Community Summer League, I am looking to shoot anything I can this fall.
Growing up I had a fascination about photography, but never had the knowledge nor resources required to take it on as a full passion. So, I left it on the back burner and kept going on with life. I graduated the automotive program at New Bedford Voc-Tech High School in the spring of 2025, and completed my freshman year of college at Bristol Community College this past school year.
It wasn’t until my brother, Bryan Cordeiro, approached me about taking photos for his summer league, Dartmouth Community Summer League at the Burgo Basketball Association, when that passion came back. Thanks to the help of my good friend and amazing photographer Devyn O’Donnell, I had the summer with the first professional camera I had ever had in my hands: a Canon EOS 80D.
Starting off, the photos and entire process were rough, but that was to be expected. I worked for hours on the same photos, messing around with settings and having fun with it. After a while, the settings I was just messing around with were applied to my work and I saw exponential improvement.
By the end of the DCSL season this past weekend, I felt so much growth in the 3 months I had to shoot. I gave back Devyn’s camera and purchased my own camera for the first time: a Sony a6100. Reflecting on my photos from today to three months prior were night and day, and I wanna keep progressing as a photographer and editor.
For this fall, I want to expand my work and shoot anything I can: Senior portraits, events, fall sports, individuals, you name it. For me it’s not about revenue or being the best, it’s about enjoying what I am doing and taking pictures of life to be remembered. So if you have something in mind you can contact me by email or dm, both of which are below. Thank you for your time🙏
