Good morning!
It has been a little while since I have done a who I am post. If you are new here my name is Kimberly Doerr also known by many as Kimmi. I am the face always behind the camera and almost never in front of it. (Hence the older photo but that will be updated soon.)

I live on our small family homestead with my wonderful husband, Donald and 6 or our 7 beautiful children. Our days are full and busy. There is never a dull moment when we are together.

I started photography when I was in my early teens and loved it. First camera was a Kodack 110. Those were the days of posing with my cousin and my sister. Then I further fell in love with my first Canon Rebel film camera and switched over to the DSLR. I have photographed a bit of everything over the years but my heart and passion is in children photography, family, and fine art.

I have been quietly working behind the scenes with my family on my studio. This has been a long process being completed by us when we have had time to do it in the middle of life. It is getting more exciting every day. I have so many visions in my head. Thank you for all of you who have supported me.

Hello September!
Thank you for arriving with some dreary rain that sounds beautiful on our roof top and windows. You nourish us and cleanse the environment. A great day for cuddling and reading a book while enjoying a cup of tea.

Delicate Webs
Delicate webs may look fragile, but they are stronger than they appear. A spider works hard to carefully create each strand, connecting them together to form something beautiful and useful. Even though the web can be damaged by wind, rain, or people sweeping them out of the way, the spider patiently begins building again.

Delicate webs can remind us of our every day life. Our relationships, dreams, and memories can also be fragile. They need patience, care, and attention to remain strong. Sometimes life tears apart the things we have worked hard to build, but that does not mean we should ever give up.

Like a spider rebuilding its web, we can begin our life again. The delicate things in our lives can teach us that strength does not always mean being unbreakable. Sometimes, true strength is having the courage to rebuild after the trails.

Just one more day until the ~BER months begin. Are you ready for them? I know that I am. Fall is my favorite season. While each season has their own amazing qualities, autumn just speaks to me. A world without autumns would be such a sad place.

She Dreams of Sparkling Nights

A little gem created over my mushroom coffee this morning. A step into the past and a bit of whimsy added to it.

Now for the last little image of these two sweet girls.
When I lost my hard drive that meant I lost all the original edits for my personal images. At least a good chunk of them. Editing is soothing for me. I am enjoying these little moments.
