This one was a hard one for me to post. As individuals scrolling through social media on a daily basis, itโs frequent and evident that we may or may not be comparing ourselves to others that we see online. As someone who has struggled with acne since the age of 10-11, and not just on my face, Iโve found myself limiting my own options and opportunities because of my own insecurities. While I was editing this picture, I first realized that A. In the past, I would have NEVER worn something out in public that would visibly show my back the way this jumpsuit did, but B. I find it almost fake to post a picture that edits out my flaws, my BIGGEST insecurity, in order to think this picture was even good enough to post in the first place. If you swipe right, you will clearly see what I am talking about. However I did not want to post the after photo without the before photo, to allow people to see that not everything is as it may seem. I am flawed, but I am also perfect just the way I am, even if I might not think it everyday. I hope this post shows everyone that things can easily be edited, or hidden, but if we constantly feel like we have to make ourselves โperfectโ in order to fit into this world, then weโll forever be doomed and never reach the capacity of happiness that weโre all so eager to have and achieve. I hope this post empowers someone to really look in the mirror and LOVE EVERYTHING they see. Also, please no negative comments, here or on any others page. Everyone struggles with something, and some might just be better at hiding it than others.
