Sherrie Williams Photography My goal is to transport you to a different place and evoke emotions that connect us all.

I have always been deeply passionate about capturing moments that tell a story. In my previous career, I was dedicated to crafting unforgettable experiences for my clients, moments that would resonate with them long after they had gone home —‘aha’ moments that captured both their hearts and minds. Now, through photography, I strive to create those same powerful experiences. Each image I create is

more than a snapshot—it’s an invitation to pause, feel, and reflect. It would be an honor to have my art find a place in your home or business, where it can continue to inspire and create connections.

Tonight’s sky reminded me of tie-dye.

As someone who in the past planned everything down to the minute, moments like this have been teaching me something different lately… sometimes the best thing you can do is pause long enough to actually notice what’s happening around you.

The colors shifted every few minutes. Blues into purple, orange into gold, storm clouds mixed with calm water. No filters needed. Just nature doing what it does best.

On this Memorial Day morning, my son and I slipped out for a sunrise kayak as the lake slowly woke up around us. The mist rising, the birds - especially the turkeys were quite awake, the quiet movement of the water (except my paddling)… it felt like we were waking up alongside nature itself.

Today reminds me how blessed we are to have the freedom to enjoy simple mornings, peaceful places, and time with the people we love. I’m especially grateful for the men and women who served our country, including my dad, whose sacrifices helped make these moments possible.

One of my favorite things about kayaking in the spring is how it slows me down enough to notice everything.

The loon sitting quietly along the shoreline watching me as closely as I was watching him. The red-winged blackbird perched perfectly at the top of the pine tree like he owned the place. And this little frog tucked into the reeds, blending into the water and shadows until suddenly… there he was.

Out on the water, the noise fades away for a while. No timelines. No pressure. Just the sound of the paddle, the smell of spring, and little moments that feel like gifts if you’re paying attention.

I think that’s why I love photography so much. It gives me a reason to slow down and really see the world around me.

Totally unplanned.

While walking through Stuttgart, we came across a wedding photo shoot taking place in the middle of the city. The contrast caught my attention immediately. Elegance and celebration set against steel, glass, and modern architecture… and then this stunning car parked like it belonged in a movie scene.

I had to take the picture!

Schloss Hohenzollern looked like something pulled straight from a fairy tale, especially with the stormy skies rolling in around it. One of those views that makes you stop shooting for a second just to take it all in.

This was my first attempt at photographing live music, and I had an absolute blast doing it.

Last week at Harley Fest, the Dublin O’Shea Band brought so much energy to the stage, even with the cold weather. Trying to capture the movement, lighting, and emotion of a live performance was such a fun challenge and definitely pushed me creatively.

Huge thank you to Lisa for asking me to photograph the band. I’m already looking forward to doing more of this.

I was walking near the railroad tracks when this little red fox decided the dirt embankment was apparently his personal photography studio.

No fear. No rush. Just stretched out in the sun, watching the world go by like he owned the place. Honestly… he looked more relaxed than most people I know.

What struck me most was the contrast. Steel tracks, rock, noise, movement… and right in the middle of it, this tiny wild creature completely at peace.

Moments like this are why I always carry my camera. You can plan a trip, map every stop, chase every landmark… and then the memory that stays with you is a fox kit posing beside the tracks like a tiny woodland supermodel.

Nature always finds a way to surprise me

Textures everywhere along the river in Costa Rica. Light, shadow, and scales layered like armor. The longer I watched, the more the iguana and the crocodile seemed to disappear into the very landscape they rule. Nature has a way of reminding you that the best camouflage isn’t just about hiding… it’s about belonging.
