The Importance of Production Meetings: The droll administrative process where the project is clearly outlined, somewhat planned, where production dates, deliverables, and costs are written down. And a budget is created and set aside for the project. So there is a plan, a budget, and a clear expectation for both the artist/client and the producer. The artist/client has a clear expectation of when the project will be completed and the producer has a clear expectation that they will be paid as the different stages of the project are completed. This also establishes boundaries and ground rules for the working relationship.
