John Summit keeps the momentum going for his upcoming album CTRL ESCAPE (out April 15th). On April 8th, he takes over Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre for an open-to-close set, 7–10 p.m.
CTRL ESCAPE pushes boundaries by fusing a wide array of genres, from heavy-hitting tech-house flair to dubstep, drum & bass, and other broader influences. Taken as a whole, the body of work acts as a portrait of John Summit’s life right now — the relentless touring, the stadium gigs that butt right up against the intimate shows he keeps doing in order to maintain a connection to his day one fans, but it’s also designed to be played out in rooms of all sizes. Each track is its own world, its own journey through the past and present of electronic music.
Last week, Summit released “CHICA 305” with Latin superstar, Feid. The track is playful and flirtatious, capturing the electric feeling of locking eyes with someone across a crowded dance floor.
The pop-up run has already hit LA’s Reframe Studios and NYC’s HALO, where he teamed up with Spotify and LinkedIn.
