This past week in the world of Creative Technical, I worked with a lot of LED. 10 touchscreen interactive monitors, 3 curved LED walls, and 1 LED tunnel. I am at the Colorado Convention Center working with the wonderful folks at , and the world of tradeshows and expo halls is their expertise.

It took around 3.5 sweaty days to complete all of this, and two of the LED walls were back to back with about 2-3ft of space to work in between them. Not ideal, but I got it done.

Mountain Pixel Man Jim Maxam, recently visited Barco Image Processing for a partner meeting where he met with fellow industry partners, and heard all about the future of the Encore3!

Lots of really amazing stuff in the works, follow Mountain Pixel Management for all things video, computers, and high resolution pixel management.

Here at Mountain Pixel Management, we bleed Barco red…for a reason. I recently had the privilege of attending the Barco Rental Partner Meeting in Duluth, GA where I was privy to the roadmap for Encore3. This is the most feature-rich most flexible pixel management platform on the market. Without violating the NDA I signed, I can tell you that the software and hardware innovations the Barco folks already have in beta, will absolutely eclipse the competition. If you’re wondering which direction to go for 4K screen management, I promise you will be disappointed if you choose anything but Barco. If you need to rent instead of buy, MPM has you covered. If you want to take it for a test drive in your shop, we can help with that too.

Last week was a very cool project that I want to share with you all. I had the opportunity to work with and to create some content to be displayed on a 5ft LED sphere! The goal here was to create audio reactive content in , so we can then map onto the LED sphere for live interaction and scripted playback.

We spent some time on the front end working to find a good design, testing and dialing in the audio reactivity, and then finally exporting final files in 4K to be mapped onto the sphere. We also had a secondary sphere in the atrium of the St. Louis Union Station hotel, that you could live chat with the Gemini AI sphere without any scripted files playing back.

During the show I play the role of Event Master Specialist and EIC, switching the 2 widescreen LED walls, LED sphere, and other destinations, using a Barco E2. You can see some fun was necessary when working with an LED sphere, because you don't get to work with one all the time 😃

From building pergolas, laying flagstone, supporting friends and colleagues with their spectacular accomplishments, running the show for CU and their football kickoff luncheon, traveling to Barco in Sacramento to meet with Vince and their team to talk Encore 3 things, going straight into the mountains to Devil's Thumb Ranch, and then headed to the sand dunes for another one with BPM, safe to say we've been busy the past few weeks!

I sometimes wear a lot of hats, but I'm always grateful for the opportunities and experiences to work in Colorado and around the US ❤️
