❌ “Can you send me a shot list for the entire day?”
A family photo list? Absolutely. A script for every candid moment? That’s our job.
❌ “Will the reception be well lit, or should I bring a flash?”
A professional always comes prepared with lighting, no matter the venue.
❌ “What time do you want portraits?”
Your photographer should build your timeline around the best light—not ask you to figure it out.
❌ “Can you make sure someone comes and gets me when it’s time for important moments?”
A professional is following the timeline, communicating with your planner, and staying ahead of the day—not waiting to be told where to be.
❌ “What editing style do you want me to try?”
You should hire someone whose portfolio you already love—not someone experimenting on your wedding.
❌ “Do you want all the RAW files so you can pick your favorites?”
Culling and editing are a huge part of what you’re investing in.
❌ “Do you know if we need permits or insurance?”
Handling venue requirements, permits, and insurance should be part of a professional’s process.
At the end of the day, your photographer shouldn’t need you to manage the photography—they should be managing it for you.
Your job is to enjoy your wedding.
