I'm preparing for the Burn the next few weeks, so here are some moments I never shared online from Burning Man Project 2024. The installation I most deeply resonated with in '24 was (the winged robotic wolf). That shot of him howling while the flames consume the temple in the background (when all those watching would howl too) is one of my all-time favorite nighttime captures at the Burn.

Can't wait to see lots of you in the desert soon! I'll be at Syncytium/Lakes on the Playa at 330 and Esplanade.

A Super Best Friends Wedding!
One of my highlights of Lightning in a Bottle last year was shooting the sunset celebration of love between and . The whole squad rallied around them for a jubilant procession from camp down to the lake pier, facilitated a gorgeous environment, .leak officiated with heartfelt words, the ceremony was beautiful and the bride and groom's vows plucked everyone's heartstrings. My favorite wedding I've shot yet.

The Induction Ceremony of and .little.life into at Lightning in a Bottle last year, where they became Cheap Chick and Dreamweaver. It generally takes years to earn official member status in this crew - and this magnificent collection of characters is an unstoppable force of righteous adventurers. Always grateful for the fantastic times I get to share with them.

Fanning the Flames of Flow State Joy

Last year at Lightning in a Bottle I recognized .wind.princess twirling an LED hoop in the dark, from when I captured her with silk fans on the beach 3 years prior (pictures 6-9). So we scheduled a photo shoot a couple days later embodying her professional side, her lover side and her sexy-carefree-dancing spirit.

But I'm a sucker for a sequel photo shoot, and we managed to link up again at the tail end of sunset for a wonderful reprise with the rainbow fans. The hallucinatory feel of the 2022 shots always made them special to me, yet the dreamy happiness of the 2025 shots pops with much more vivid emotion that really encapsulate her mood and how this reunion actually felt.

I saw the Speed Racer 4k remaster in imax this week and it was both like my cinematic Holy Grail and a religious experience for me. My body was literally vibrating by the end and I was overcome with visceral emotion and phantasmagoric sensory overload - particularly during the final race this article focuses on. So here's your reminder that the Speed Racer movie is a kinetic masterpiece unlike anything else, and if you love the visual style of my photography, you will be blown away by this insane film.
