Opening Night at Chapter One — Depoe Bay

Recently, I had the absolute joy of photographing the opening night of Chapter One, and let me tell you… this little coastal gem is doing something special.

Their menu is built around locally sourced ingredients, including items they forage themselves. Fresh seafood from Barnacle Bill’s in Lincoln City, thoughtful flavor pairings, and dishes that feel both elevated and comforting. The entire menu is almost completely gluten‑free and vegetarian, with vegan options available.

Everything is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced.

The atmosphere? Moody, cozy, intimate — the kind of place you go when you want a quiet night on the Coast that still feels like an experience. And the menu… truly unlike anything else offered in our area. Depoe Bay got lucky with this one.

Over the years, I've had the pleasure of photographing hundreds of branding sessions like this one and helping businesses get seen.

Happy Fourth of July weekend, friends!
As we head into the holiday, I’m feeling grateful for community and for the people who show up every day to make this country more compassionate, inclusive, and kind.

📌 My office will be closed July 3rd–7th so I can rest, recharge, and eat something grilled. I’ll be back in action on the 8th!

Hi, my name is Tonya, and I have a confession:
I edit sand. A lot.
Like… to a degree that it has become a running joke among photographers on the Oregon Coast. Yep, crazy Tonya, 😂🤪

Today’s wedding was a perfect example — a small, close‑family ceremony on the beach, simple and heartfelt, focused entirely on what mattered most: their commitment to each other. Meanwhile, the sand was serving pure chaos.

Footprints, bull kelp, seaweed, wet patches, and a whole lot of loose sticks. I knew what I needed to do. When it came time to edit the couple’s portraits, I went into full effect, giving the beach a total SANDSFORMATION.

The final photos look smooth, soft, and ever so ethereal…but just know I spent a solid 20 minutes per image giving that sand a full makeover.

It’s my art.
It’s my therapy. I won’t stop.
