I might be overdoing it with these cinematic crops and posts, but I’ve got so much work piling up that they’ve become my favorite way to share little sneak peeks. 😅

This one made something click.

I realized I don’t always see a photograph through the camera first. I see it through music. Sometimes the photo comes then I find the music for it but they are always a pair in my mind. Considering I have a stack of music concepts based off songs…it shouldn’t have been a surprise.🤣

We all have songs that carry us through different chapters of our lives. The ones that help us survive heartbreak, celebrate love, dance with our best friends, remind us of home, our culture, walking down the runway, finding ourselves, or simply becoming who we’re meant to be. Somehow, those songs make us feel understood.

They become little time capsules.

That’s what I want my photographs to feel like.

Not just beautiful images, but the soundtrack of your life frozen into a frame. A photograph that, years from now, makes you hear the song that was playing during that chapter of your life. 🎶
