Good morning!

A quick pop-in to say that I just opened my Fall calendar and I'm excited to chase after your littles and have loads of fun with you in the sparkling evening sunshine!

I've stopped sharing client photos on social media, but that doesn't mean I'm not still poppin' cartwheels to make kids giggle or waking up at 3 am to haul buns to a birth. I'm still here!

I'm offering both full-length sessions and a few nights of minis. Late September full-length sessions have the option of spending a magical evening at PepperHarrow for a truly unforgettable experience.

Just send over a message if you'd like to make some magic and I'll be in touch soon!

Thank you! Cheers to a healthy, peaceful, ice-cream-filled rest of your summer, from my fam to yours.

As World Doula Week wraps up, I want to give some love to the magical woman who held my hands and cried with me at Surrobabe's birth last fall. Not only that, but she came back to the hospital hours later when I was struggling. She made everything feel so much less scary.

It's been nearly two-and-a-half years since I've posted anything on this page. Looking back at my last post, it's just bonkers how many things have happened since then--how much the world and our own personal lives have changed.

I took part of 2019 and all of 2020 off from births, except for a sprinkling here and there. I needed a little more time to enjoy my children (they're 9 and almost 7 now--my gosh). I also needed some time to focus my energy on becoming a gestational surrogate--something I had been dreaming of doing for years. Once our kids both started school, it felt like the perfect time to dive in.

We transferred an embryo into my belly on Feb 14th last year, just a handful of weeks before pandemic life hit here. It was physically a difficult pregnancy and also mentally difficult in the "OMG I'm trapped at home with my family and responsible for someone else's human and this was NOT THE WAY this was supposed to happen" kind of way. But, we made it through and it was worth it! I birthed a gorgeous, healthy, sweet babe in November, with his wonderful parents right by my side. It was a truly an honor and a life-altering experience.

The happenings of this past year+ reminded me how much I love all of this. So, this is all basically my long winded way of saying that I missed births so much and I am SO EXCITED to be back at it! For 2021, I have begun offering birth photos & film again--out of hospital only right now, until hospitals allow us back in again. I'll also be offering maternity portraits and family portraits this summer and fall.

So, holler if you need me! xoxo

Friends & clients,

I think many of you know about my past 11 days of unexpected madness, but I wanted to drop in for a quick update. I know I have awesome (and super patient) people waiting for responses to inquiries and, surely, family session clients are curious about current turnaround times. I just wanted to take a moment to address!

I did have an unexpected surgery last Tuesday morning that caught me off-guard. It's thrown off many of our fall plans, unfortunately. We are doing fine though and will continue moving forward with equal parts rest and strong sense of humor. The good news is--you can still expect the previously quoted 2-3 week turnaround time on family sessions as planned. Today's the first day I've managed to sit upright at my computer, though only for a few moments, so I am beginning to go through emails and will absolutely do my best to respond as swiftly as I can.

I plan to be a functional human being again in the next week or two, so this shouldn't affect any November family sessions or births. If I do have any further complications though, I will absolutely reach out.

Thank you so much for your continued support!

I'm all snuggled in at the computer today, finishing up Evelyn's beautiful birth film. Pumpkin bars are in the oven and it's pouring rain outside. It's some kind of special Autumn happy place.

Oh, this is a super beautiful story. Start your day with a little joy! I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to document Mila’s arrival earlier this summer. Forever and always.
