A little lace, a lot of love, and a very big surprise. 🖤

Kayla + Hayden’s surprise micro wedding at The Mackey House was sweet, intimate, and full of the kind of moments I want to keep forever.

The smiles mid-ceremony. The breath of relief. The little hands and cheek kisses. All that romance and revelry tucked into one afternoon.

And when the bride is a photographer herself? Being trusted to witness and document her day hits a little differently. Kayla,being trusted to photograph this most special day is such an honor!

If weddings can be camp, might I submit THIS ONE! 🤌🏼🖤

A + Es Camp Ty-Da-Knot wedding Brown Mountain Beach Resort was the epitome of a destination wedding you’ll never forget.

Intentionality was the key detail across the camp— from the guest list, to the activities, to the experiences, to the vows that had the ENTIRE wedding snifflin’.

Things I want to remember from this perfect day:

🖤 All the grown men crying during their vows
✨ Yurt 3 shenanigans + Walmart missed turns

The question takes a few seconds. The HOLY S**T WE’RE ENGAGED part deserves a little longer. 🖤

Walton reached out with a ring, a girl he really fu***ng loves, and a plan to propose in Savannah!

So we schemed 🤭

The where. The when. Where I’d hide. Where he’d stand. How we’d (try to) make sure Emma never suspected a thing.
And then I got to document it all happening.

The nerves before. The realization. The yes. The wait, let me see it again. The kissing. The laughing. And then wandering around Savannah together while the whole thing started to sink in.

Your proposal is a moment. Your engagement is a whole damn feeling.

Production and presence are not mutually exclusive.

Yes, there are lights. Cameras. Makeup artists. Timelines. Someone holding a phone up across the room.

And there is also a bride, catching a glimpse of herself in full bridal makeup for the first time and taking it in.

Both things are true.

A wedding day can be produced and still be deeply, beautifully real.

And isn’t that more interesting— the duality?
