These are the doors of a small mausoleum at the Riverside Cemetery belonging to the DePaul's. I drove by and caught the light shining through the stained glass in the back and thought it'd make for a nice photo. Was I right, or was I right? 😁

This is the greatest flag photo I've ever taken lol I actually took it last year in August down at the Locks after it had been storming all day. You can see it's still pretty dark in Canada. The wind was blowing juuuuuust enough to give that beautiful flag some movement.

But sometimes it makes things interesting. This crabapple branch (I'm assuming at one point or another) had really full and hearty flowers on it. Now the spikey bits are left. But I like the spikey bits.

Hey everyone! Miss me? 😘
Sorry I've been AWOL. Nothing was wrong or anything, but for a while there I was just in a creative slump. We had a really odd winter here in the good ol' UP. Hardly any snow, mud, dull grey days. Just blah! And I couldn't really come up with anything to photograph. Or rather, I just didn't WANT to. So I stepped away. Sure, I could have posted unseen photos, but I felt like no one was really diggin' what I was showing or that the summery vibes I was showing didn't match the dullness of what was actually happening in reality.
BUT I'M BACK! If you'll have me? 👉🏻👈🏻🥹 I hope you guys are still even interested in seeing what I want to show. 😅
And with that being said; not only am I back, the freighters are as well! During the winter, the Soo Locks close to freighters for a period of time to conduct routine maintenance checks. So no pretty boaty boats to gaze at. But a few months ago, it opened back up and these behemoth beauties are able to come and go.
Try not to be too critical. I took these with my phone. I was too lazy to lug my backpack/camera around on this particular day. 🤭 These were taken back in April. Duckbert and I enjoyed watching it go by. 💖

Same monument as the other day, but a full view of her. The feeling of this is completely different, as well, don't you think? She's a guardian, a protector. She has a purpose.
