Aubries 19th birthday, her first one in heaven.

Our family spent the week doing every single thing she loved, this is and will always be our family’s happy place.

Please keep praying for our family, praying for our girl, and especially for Harlow.

In honor of Aubrie, live like her, love like her, and share her story with others to save lives.

Accidental carbon monoxide is a real killer, happens to more people than you know. Never sit in a car with your windows up, even in an open space. Share the dangers & warning signs. If you see someone sleeping, wake them up. She was an 18 year old girl, with a full life ahead of her, she decided to take a nap before her class started & next thing we know we are here.

Warning signs:
Headache
Throwing up
Lethargic
Flu like symptoms

Portable detectors are available for purchase & can alert you to levels. Take them in your car, on vacation, to work, you can never be too safe.

all your texts, love, and support, it means everything to us. I’ve spent the last almost 7 months truly grieving our daughter… life is different and everyday we are learning what our new norm is after her sudden loss… I went back & forth about everything- I thought, can I even shoot anymore? Losing a child feels like all your energy goes towards grief & just trying to survive, losing a child at only 18 feels like we were robbed of time & memories.

All I keep reminding myself is the years of photos we have, all the time we splurged & had a photographer document our family. It’s what keeps me going, I look at photos of our family everyday, our smiles and laughs.

I love what I do, and what a more reason to just keep doing it. Grief & loss has changed me, but it’s brought me back to my roots too. Why I am a photographer, why it’s so important to have everything documented- because you never truly know when you’re last minute on earth might be.

You never know if those photos might be the thing that keeps you going when you’ve got nothing else.
