This session was one of those that didn’t really feel like a “session.” We wandered around Garrett’s family land, did a little fishing, climbed all over the truck, and ended the evening with ice cream from his family’s little ice cream shop. Basically I just got to third wheel on their date with my camera in hand. 😂🤍

And THIS is why I love when couples incorporate pieces of their real life into their photos. The places you know, the things you actually do together, the little memories that already mean something to you. It makes everything feel less like posing for pictures and more like documenting a tiny piece of your story.

Plus anything there’s fishing poles and ice cream involved count me in buddy 🤘🏼🤣

I was SO honored when these sweet friends asked me to capture their elopement. And honestly, I wish more couples would take notes from them; your wedding day doesn’t have to be BIG to be beautiful.

Sometimes stepping away is exactly what you need. 🤍

About three years ago, I quietly stopped offering newborn sessions. Part of it was because I wanted to step away from the traditional posed style, but another part was simply that my heart wasn’t ready. Sometimes certain seasons of life require a little extra healing.

When Delaina reached out after I photographed her wedding to ask me to document this new chapter, I knew it was time. Getting to see them go from saying “I do” to holding their beautiful baby girl was such a full-circle moment, and I honestly fell back in love with in-home lifestyle newborn sessions.

These are the moments I want to remember, real life, tiny details, sleepy snuggles, and a whole lot of love. I have a feeling these sessions are here to stay. 🤍✨

One of my favorite things about this job is that no two sessions are ever the same. 🤍

When Avery asked if they could bring their Bibles to their session, I smiled because, in seven years of photography, no one had ever asked me that before.

It was such a simple idea, but such a meaningful one. Their relationship isn’t just built on laughter, sweet moments, and golden sunsets; it’s built on something even deeper. Watching them pause, read together, and pray over the future they’re building was such a beautiful reminder that the strongest love stories begin with the strongest foundation.
