When you were a kid, did you ever “draw straws” to do a chore you didn’t enjoy?

I did, and if I’m being honest, sometimes I feel like that in my business with bookkeeping... I have to admit I’m just not a fan of it!

But I’ll draw all the short straws in my business because the LONG straw is getting to capture some of the most beautiful moments life has to offer!

What’s your biggest motivator?

I started this business to be my own boss and do work that I am passionate about. But every day I also wake up motivated by the places my passion can take me.

Through this work, I’ve been able to push my limits and achieve goals I never used to dream of having.

Is it easy to fill it up with ideas or does that take some serious work?

I am a huge fan of building something from nothing and when I need to really build something, I like to listen to a motivating podcast and dump all my ideas onto a whiteboard.

How serious are you about your morning routine? 🌅

Is it the same every day or dictated by something else—your mood, your workload, how late you burned the midnight oil?

I tend to stick to a routine that allows me to start my day off on the right foot. For me, that means an hour of no screen time, a yummy breakfast, and a big cup of tea. ☕

It makes sense for me because I work best with clear structure.

Did you know on Food Network TV shows, the chef has someone who cleans up their mess as they go?

No, seriously. The moment the camera turns away, someone slides in to clean up after them! They don't clean a single thing!

Y'all.....THAT IS MY DREAM.

I would cook every dang day if I had someone cleaning up after me! 😂

I am partial to a relaxing massage and every chance I get I like to reward myself with one. 💆‍♀️

This is going to seem like a silly question, but have you ever seen two seashells that look exactly alike? 🐚

Of course not! They’re as beautifully unique as any one of us.

Tell me, how many times have you heard someone say, "all weddings are the same"? 🙄

Friend, I could not disagree with that statement more! Each and every wedding I photograph is unique in it's own way and I LOVE capturing those seashell moments! 📸

Could I ask you a really personal question?

What is your most precious dream?

For the last 7 years, I wanted nothing more than to be a full time photographer. I have hit some curves and roadblocks, but I am so thankful I kept pressing and made it to the other side!
