I paint to distract my mind from heavy things, whether it’s life, the world, or whatever weight finds its way in. Right now, Minnesota feels heavy.

Our state. Our home. However you name it, it’s the place we love so deeply. A place rooted in community, in care, in beauty. Truly, no state does it like Minnesota.

My heart is heavy. And after today, I found myself asking: What can I do? Big or small.

For this weekend, my painting ‘Summer Day’ will be available on my website as a 5x7 print for $15. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota.

None of this has to happen. But it feels like one small way to hold space, to give back, and to care—together.

- I got my first camera. I worked overnights and would get off a night shift and just go take pictures every morning!
- I traveled so much, and it was actually affordable?!
- I painted, drew, and made ALLLLLL the things. I made that 🔫 on slide 4 out of buttons, washers and I think chains? I worked overnights and had a lot of time. Lol then I was moving once and dropped it and that was that.
- I shot my very first wedding, if I only had pixieset back then or a USB drive higher than 2GB’s 🫠

What a pivotal year, tbh and I did all that just for funzies❤️

Classes will open for registration one month in advance, with the exception of February classes, which are already online!🤭
🦋 Monarch - Friday, February 20th, 5PM at The Tipsy Mosquito
🌊 Lake Superior - Sunday, February 22nd, 2PM at Wild State Cider

This captures 2025 as it really was, my art, my photography, and my life in between.

I made the choice to share less of my kids and personal life on this page this year, but a recap without them wouldn’t be honest to how meaningful and beautiful this year truly was.

Gardening, painting, chicken wrangling, non stop swimming, capturing more of what I enjoy, the list goes on, so incredibly grateful for anyone who tagged along no matter the reason 🫶🏼

This year has been so much fun, and truly so rewarding. There’s nothing I love more than watching people show up, paint, create, and then seeing the pride on their faces when they realize what they’re capable of 🥹
