Tonight’s Lake Superior painting class felt a little extra special. 🌕🌊
We got to paint along the shore under a beautiful full moon. The last slide is my attempt at capturing it, but honestly… it didn’t even come close to doing it justice.
I found myself reflecting tonight on how cool it is that people come from all over Minnesota to paint with me. My work has always felt pretty local, and I’ve even kept a little map by my computer to mark every time I’ve shipped a painting to a new state.
But what’s even cooler is that over the last year, I’ve had people from all over the country find their way to this little corner of Minnesota to paint with me.
California, Wyoming, North Carolina, Arizona, Wisconsin, Canada… how cool is that?
Duluth and the North Shore really are something special. And I love that this lake has a way of bringing people together, from near and far, to slow down, create something, and spend a little time along its shore.
Thank you to everyone who has traveled to paint with me, and to everyone who continues to show up locally. I’m pretty lucky to get to do this. 🤍
