Still reminiscing on Billy & Sophie’s New Year’s Eve wedding ✨🥂

A day filled with happy tears, champagne toasts, nonstop dancing, and the kind of love that makes time stand still for a second 🤍

There’s something so special about starting a new year surrounded by the people who matter most. Truly one of those weddings I’ll never forget.

Natural light, real connection, and moments that don’t need posing.
Just couples being themselves, captured the way it felt.

I know wedding photography can feel like a big investment when you’re planning a wedding.

But years from now, your flowers will be gone, the cake will be eaten, and the decorations packed away. Your photos are what bring you back to it all. 🤍

The way your soon to be husband looked at you when you walked down the aisle.
Your grandparents dancing at the reception.
The tears, the laughter, the people you love most all in one place.

These photos become more valuable with time — because they hold memories you can never recreate. ✨

Story time🤍

I get asked all the time what made me fall in love with photography, and honestly… it doesn’t come from the happiest place.

When I was in 6th grade, my grandma and uncle both passed away within 6 months of each other. It was one of the hardest years for my family because they truly were the glue that held us all together.

When someone passes away, one of the first things you do is go searching through old photos.

For my grandma’s funeral, we chose one of her wedding portraits as the main photo. She looked absolutely stunning. Seeing that black-and-white image made me realize just how long ago those memories were.

For my uncle, we chose a photo that captured his smile perfectly. He had the kind of smile you could spot from a mile away, and a laugh that filled every room he walked into.

But during that time, I noticed something that changed me forever.

Most of the photos we used were old photos. We struggled to find recent photos together as a family, or even individual photos of them. And that’s when my love for photography truly began.

That year taught me how important photos really are.

The little moments. The big moments. Everything in between.

As a family photographer, the number one thing I hear is:
“I’ll book photos when I lose 20 pounds.”
“Schedules are too crazy.”
“It just feels like too much work right now.”

But I’m here to tell you right now:
TAKE 👏 THE 👏 DAMN👏 PHOTOS 👏

Don’t wait until life feels perfect.
Don’t wait until you feel more confident.
Don’t put it off for another year because life gets busy.

At a young age, I realized how precious life truly is and how little time we really have with the people we love.

So book the family session.
Get in the frame.
Capture this season of life exactly as it is.

Because one day, those photos will become some of your most treasured memories🤍
