We are excited to release our latest documentary, "Opus 839", the story of an American organist, who moved to a country completely foreign to him in 2009 to find a new purpose in life. With this new outlook, he began a project to give back to his new home, that would bridge the East and West and bring a new instrument to the ancient city of Ningbo.

“Our church is very very fortunate to be able to keep meeting because of the technology. We meet every Sunday through Zoom, and even the music team can bring music together for the service. Our church is small so the service through Zoom is nothing like professional looking service or music that mega churches can offer. It looks very “handmade.” And that is the very reason why it is becoming something special, extraordinary as the time goes by. It is so because of the people's hearts that desire to come together and serve each other are so visible!!

There are so many beautiful and good things we can see when we simply look around! I am often surprised by joy I feel by finding the good and beauty: The older people (over 80 yo!) who are willing to learn the new technology in order to join the service; the people who help them set up and learn how to use it; the music team and its leader who engage in the time consuming work of choosing music, recording, putting all team members' recordings together and editing music week after week so that the congregation can still have music to praise God; our computer geek pastor who explores different kind of technology and other geeks who help him in attempt to make the congregation’s Sunday morning experiences even better; the people who join the service from the other side of the world in spite of the time difference; the leaders of small groups who set up Zoom so we can keep meeting; the people who are trying to support each other by checking on each other; the people who care for and help international students who can’t go home; the people who post the aspects of their lives on Facebook so the rest of us can have comfort of knowing that they are doing well; the heart of the congregation that find appreciation in the “handmade worship.”

May the Lord be praised for all these treasures in the storm. With His help and all these good encouragements, we will overcome the pandemic together.”

“After more than 50 days, our head nurse returned from Wuhan. She lost almost 15 pounds. It’s a hard battle, salute to the hero.” Said Lujie Huang, a nurse from a hospital in Ningbo, China. He told me his head nurse (the lady in the middle of the picture) was one of the 310 doctors from Ningbo to support Wuhan since January. Every single doctor returned lost 10 to 15 pounds. The picture is the nurse team welcoming their hero back home.

"Ever since the social isolation in MI started and her church closed its doors, Barb has been making packages to give to the families of her church. Her church has many Congolese refugees who already have many struggles even before this pandemic happened. Barb has been involved in children’s ministry and every Sunday she was bringing 50 boiled eggs to feed the Congolese children who usually come to church without breakfast.

As soon as her church followed social isolation order, she and some of her friends jumped into action. They packed “Quarantine family gift bags” that contains bubbles, chalk, markers, pencils, paper, toys, flowers and encouraging notes to teens and parents. They also packed oranges, potato chips and some other snacks that kids may enjoy.

As she has to stay home now, she is spending so much time, energy, and money to create these bags. Her church people come to pick up these bags and deliver them to about 20 families of their church. Such an expression of love to people who don’t share same culture or language."
