This is June Bug. She and two other horses live on my vet's property. My vet had asked me to come out and photograph her three horses. They used to belong to another horse lover, but she could no longer take care of them. Now they are living their best life. Together. Where one goes on the property, they all go. They stick together like they're tethered to each other.
It was a cloudy day, but the sun came out at just the right time for this photo (and a few others).
They're all such gentle horses. No one should ever be afraid of these three.
Anyway, this is my favorite of all the photos I took that day.

Well, as they say, "All good things must come to an end." After months of thought, dismay, not understanding and tears, I've decided to retire my shop. I am letting all my listings expire as they come up. Oh, I'm watching some good ones go. I have done "all the things." None of them are working for me. How can a lowly (and decent I hope) photographer compete with other shops that get their photos from free websites and offer 500 photos in one listing for $5.00? Nope. And now with AI, which I refuse to incorporate into my work, I fear that true photography is taking a backseat. I suppose there are a few buyers still only wanting the real deal, but for the masses, those $5.00 digital downloads are what they're looking for.
We have plans to take a cruise down the Rhine River in September. As per usual, I am already trying to decide what lenses I want to take. Nothing too heavy!
I'll still be posting over on Instagram, head on over there, you'll find me at
